    • Perfectly Located

      Reviewed 01 October 2019

We stayed over the past weekend, we had two premium rooms on the fourth floor. A small issue was the difference in size, one tiny one large which led us to question if they were premium. Apparently its all about the view, we did both have stunning views over the river. Staff are super friendly and helpful, ordering taxis etc. The club is a concept we have experienced before albeit at a much higher level! Breakfast is a bun fight, no question. And felt a bit like school meals. Maybe not enough staff, as shortages of everything, even msg and cutlery at times. Doesnt make it relaxing at all. The evening wine etc is ok but not really as its sold. Food is hit and miss, and times when no seats. There were a few negatives, small hard beds for one. I know in some countries beds are firmer but usually offered a topper which does help. Sadly not here. No robes or slippers? The floor is some sort of plastic, not inviting to bare feet. The nespresso machine isnt!! Its a cheap copy, you have to find somewhere to plug it in, space is very limited. They leave two capsules, quicker and easier to go downstairs. No comfy seat? The shower could be an issue, leaking, but if its not on full it can be contained. We had a huge empty space in our room, had exactly the same in it as a room half the size?? So whats the point? So crunch time! Yes we would return if the price was right. The location really does swing it

    • A great experience!

We stayed in the hotel in late June for a long weekend. The club concept was great, we really enjoyed the light dinner with cheese, salad etc from local suppliers, which was not expected, therefore a pleasant surprise for us! One hotel staff William made us feel very welcoming as soon as we arrived at the reception and throughout our stay. The location of the hotel is great for exploring the city and for pleasant riverside walk. A very pleasant stay overall and will definitely recommend!

    • Wonderful stay for my last leg in France

Loved the location, everything is within walking (and biking) distance, there's a Velo stand right across from the hotel. The breakfast and evening snacks are both winners. The staff are polite and helpful. I would however have appreciated a neighbourhood map, and tips for using the bus/ metro. The room was perfect for me, I was travelling alone. The bathroom is economical in size, and the shower stall can do with shelving. The bed and sheets were incredible. Pillows too soft (but this was true of all my hotels here in France), but very comfortable. The linens aren't cold to the touch, but soft and warm, very cocoon like. I would stay here again.

    • Bizarre Shower/Toilet Configuration

      Reviewed 16 September 2019

On the positive side, the hotel is well located and the staff pleasant. We asked for and received a room with a nice view on the river. The hotel offered a decent breakfast and snacks throughout the day. However, after we unpacked, we noticed that the shower/toilet area was rather unusual. To enter, one had to open a glass door which led into the shower. The sink and toilet area were separated from the shower by another glass door, which meant that after the shower had been used, one had to cross a wet floor to access and leave the toilet. Also the partition was not waterproof and leaked from the shower into the toilet area. We were obliged to use our bath towels to mop up the excess water. Finally, the entire enclosure was glass with fixed wooden slats so that if one partner wished to use the toilet during the night, the light illuminated the entire room and disturbed the sleep of the other partner. When I complained about this, we were offered a change to a smaller room without a view, as well as a free drink in the bar, both of which we declined. Upon returning home, in view of the impairment of our enjoyment, I wrote to the manager and asked for a small reduction of the price, but this was declined. I then wrote to the President of Okko Hotels, mentioning the reference in their mission statement "Far beyond balance sheets and profit margins, our aim is to see satisfied customers leaving our hotels." Again my request was declined "since you suffered neither any major technical issue nor any service dysfunction." Unfortunately I did not check Trip Advisor before we booked this hotel. Had I done so, I would have noted other similar complaints.

    • Great location and nice concept but!

Arrived at the hotel to dump our bags but they had our room ready which was fabulous. On another note they managed to sort us out a late checkout the following day, thank you. Staff and greeting all very friendly and super helpful The room was on the 5th floor overlooking the river with fantastic views over the city and the hill. Bed was very comfortable. The tv had free movies which I haven't experienced in ages lol. The toiletries were nice Breakfast was average, pleasant and I had my fill, but not once you would enthuse about. I did have a boiled egg first in years only because they have an egg cooker going constantly so thought might as well make some use of it rather than let the energy go to waste. I did have to eat it with a tablespoon tho. The evening snacks and free first glass of wine in the lounge was nice had a nibble on some nice charcuterie. Some people were making the most of it lol. Downsides for me was the room configuration had the bathroom door at the foot of the bed so if you need to use it at night you are likely to disturb your partner. Luckily the light switch broke so that didn't happen. The safe is at floor height, thankfully fiance is a big more nimble than me and loaded it. The lounge as your social area just didn't work for me. Great having free soft drinks for a bit of refreshment after a day out but I want to relax in the room with a glass of wine and enjoy the view in a my robe, oh yeah no robe or slippers. Did bring my own and luckily on the floor no one could see there was no robe on. Take away the anticipation of the concept and it's a lovely boutique hotel
