      We have spend one weeks in Nomade as a family with two teenagers and I have to say we had absolutely tremendous time. I have read all the negative reviews lately and I feel I have to share my personal experience. a) there is a very serious problem with seaweed all overs riviera maya. Its gross, its smelly and its everywhere. But i have to say if there is one beach where the problem is bearable, it is Nomade beach as the staff really cleans the beach and the water every few hours. b) the service was excellent. Sometimes the staff in restaurants was a bit slower and some things get lost in translation, but we didnt speak Spanish so this is something to expect in Mexico. c) the rooms close to the reception are indeed noisy because of the street, construction next door and because of the diesel generator, but after first night there we commented this to the guest manager who immediately shouted us several other rooms with honest pros and cons and we moved to nice oceanfront room threat was all we wished for our vacation. Amazing experience and definitely five stars from while our family!

    • Lost items, zero help. Terrible service

      Stayed 3 nights at Nomade last weekend. When checking out, I accidentally left my new AirPods not on the night-shelf next to the bed. I my wife forgot a white shirt we missed as it was spread on the bed sheets. I checked the Find option on Find my Phone and could see the AirPods at the hotel. Realizing this at the airport, I attempted to call the hotel repeatedly but was unsuccessful. I emailed the hotel, and never heard back. I finally received the two WhatsApp contacts for both concierge's: one replied every 24 hours, and the other one read and never replied. I After two days, they said they had not found anything in the room. I told them that at a place priced $400 a night it was beneath them not to address this in a timely manner or to accept an answer from the staff saying it wasn't available. When I checked the Find app again, the AirPods were no longer on the map at all. The Concierge said the manager would reach out to me in 24 hours. It's now been 48 and I never heard from them. Shameful. Forgetting the items was my mistake, but there was plenty of time to remedy had the hotel made a simple effort. A group that owns so many hotels should be more more proactive in reaching out to their guests in times of need. The whole "holistic" and "gratitude" concept is reduced to a theme where they simply run credit cards and wish you on your merry way once you're gone. I should have known if it takes 45 mins to get eggs for breakfast there, it would take days to get a response (if any) for greater matters. Won't be staying here again.

    • Amazing Tents, Staff, and Experience

      To the staff at Nomade, thank you so much for such an amazing vacation! The customer service was world class and the hotel was a dream come true. To name a few of the many who helped us: Pablo, Mario, Arturo, and Fiammetta. Thank you. We arrive to a warm greeting from the staff, they took our bags to our room, and we knew instantly this was a great choice, they made it feel like home. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Tent (we saw a bad review about the tent, disregard it, the tent was amazing). There were clean sheets, air conditioning, a fan, and all you could need in this incredible trendy room with an amazing outside shower and bathroom that was tropical heaven. During our stay we felt safe and happy, the friendliness and willingness to help us from the staff felt so catered to our needs and you could tell the staff really cares about its customers. We even booked an excursion to a few cenotes through the wonderful help of Pablo, as well as we learned about local cuisine and locations through Mario and Fiammetta. We really felt a connection to the employees and the attention to detail they gave, I never felt like "just another" customer. They remembered my name and my girlfriends name right away. The complimentary breakfast was out of this world, the food was amazing and so fresh it made waking up so great and exciting. The vegan food they offered was plentiful and delish as well. The room was always cleaned and the at a comfortable temperature. As a side note: if you want and ice box of a vacation then don't go to Mexico because it is very warm in August especially no matter where you go. To the staff at Nomade it was hard to say goodbye but thank you so much for an amazing time. We will be returning in the future.

    • Beautiful Property, Rooms & Service Need Work

      Property grounds are beautiful. Rooms are unique, but a bit dark. We were a group of 11 with 5 rooms. One room leaked when it rained, 3 of our rooms had the water completely shut off at various times with no notice. Service was unfortunately hit or miss. Concierge was amazing and went above and beyond. Staff on the beach were fabulous and so was the food. Unfortunately breakfast was a nightmare all 5 mornings we were there. Service was very, very slow, they got our orders wrong, food came out cold, some of the staff were great, others rude and unfriendly. Not enough staff in the kitchen, a ton of staff working the restaurant, but no synergy between the staff. No one took accountability for the many mistakes. Didn't seem like they had been properly trained. Many, many, many mistakes with our bills every morning, which took a very long time to resolve. This was our second time staying at Nomade and service has gone downhill in the last 2 years. Sad to say it's probably our last visit

      I loved loved loved Nomade. such a beautiful hotel and amazing service. The beach was always clean and the pool is wonderful. Our guest experience concierge was Pablo and he was so helpful. He was always there to answer our questions, book any tours or dinner reservations we needed. He also gave us great ideas for fun things to do. Nomade has been my favorite place to stay in Tulum. The food in all their restaurants is also amazing, and the fruit juices they prepare are so fresh. The room was always at a perfect temperature. I will definitely stay at Nomade whenever I go back to Tulum.
