What a stunning home! So glad we picked this for our Nelson Bay adventure. We booked the Yacaaba and everything was perfect inside and out. Iain and Trish were wonderful hosts giving us a stack of information on arrival which helped to make it easy. The beds were comfy the spa was awesome. The yoghurts fruit salad & freshly baked bread was a great start to the day. I cant fault this place and hope we can return in the Summer time.

The hospitality of this lovely B&B is beyond expectations. Tricia & Iain are the most gracious hosts. We stayed 2 nights as we were in town for John Williamson . Being a converted home the rooms were a little tight, but are clean and cosy , we didnt use the spa as the weather was unfavourable but in summer this would make a great romantic getaway. As mentioned on website the driveway is steep ! too steep for our sports car we parked on the tight street . Please be aware slippery driveway and paths in wet. This accommodation is not suitable for invalid/ disabled persons and is a couples only .

My wife and I stayed here over the Easter weekend. Spending 3 nights. The accommodation is about a 8 minute walk up the hill from Nelson Bay Marina and shops. There are 3 rooms available with the room entrances coming off the adjoining breakfast area/lounge/reception. The accommodation driveway is very steep and parking can be tight. With steps leading up to the entrance. The rooms are well appointed with built in wardrobe, aircon, ceiling fan, tv and tea/coffee making facilities along with a fridge. Bed was comfortable. There is space under the bed to put suitcases. The bathroom is narrow and tight. But has a good shower. Our room had a private seating area out the back looking onto a bush setting. A continental style breakfast is provided. Which is cereal, yoghurt, fruit salad and home made toast. They also offer an enormous selection of jams. Tea and coffee. The hosts Trish and Ian are very helpful, chatty and knowledgeable of the area. Trish works part time down at the tourist information centre so she basically knows everything about whats good and worthwhile in the district. We found The Point Restaurant and Little Beach Bar extremely good. Enjoyed our stay.

    • Two fantastic hosts!

Firstly, I'll make a comment on the driveway. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. My husband does not drive, and I'd only had my new car for two days before our stay. But I had no trouble at all negotiating the driveway, which I did on about eight occasions. Trish and Iain were wonderful hosts, you couldn't ask for better hospitality. They were very obliging and eager to please. They both had wonderful local knowledge and supplied lots of information about interesting local spots to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Trish and Iain. We especially enjoyed the spa bath in our room. They won my husband over straight away with his one and only request, some tomato juice with his breakfast. Not only did he get his tomato juice, but a wonderful home cooked breakfast too. We both enjoyed their freshly made fruit salad and yoghurt each morning and the wonderful choices of the home made bread. We highly recommend a stay at the Nelson Bay B and B, and make sure you read the story of Iain's fishing trip.
