    • Wonderful place to stay

      Reviewed 08 September 2019

This guest house is perfectly located in a quiet part of capital hill within a lovely neighborhood abutting a large park. Sofia, who runs it, was so incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. She offered great suggestions for what to do, where to eat, and how to get around the city. Her breakfasts were healthy and delicious, and the service incredibly prompt. At her suggestion, we visited The Smith Tower, in Pioneer Square, which was a real gem, and which we subsequently recommended to everyone else we met on the trip who was headed to Seattle. A great place to stay!

    • Lovely B&B

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in a queen bed room. The room was rather crowded and the bed was saggy, but the owner Sofia was delightful! We enjoyed the breakfasts and she was very helpful in telling us about bus schedules and restaurants nearby.

    • Good location

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. I will divide my review in positives and negatives: Positives: 1) Location is very good, bars and restaurants within 5-10 min walk 2) Bus stop just next to the hotel and you will be in the downtown in about 15/20 min. 3) Sofia and her mum very helpful 4) Clean room and good breakfast Negatives: 1) our room had a big window in the left hand-side without any curtains, therefore at night we had the street lights and the of course very light in the morning. Glad that we didnt stay in that room in Summer. 2) Our room didnt get serviced (cleaning), which we havent been in a place where they dont clean every day. 3) duvets look like they have past their best

    • Delightful Gem of a B&B, Full of Character

      Reviewed 06 October 2018

We stayed at Mozart Guest House for two nights at the end of a rail trip from Chicago to Seattle. The neighbourhood is lovely with plenty of shops and good restaurants and a short bus ride downtown. The house has plenty of space, a generous porch out front, a working grand piano and a wide staircase leading up to the bedrooms. Ours was spacious and quiet. The beds were a little saggy and the bathroom tired but it all has plenty of character and is perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - fruit, granola, sausage and eggs - prepared on the spot by Sofia who went out of her way to enjoy we had a good stay. Strongly recommended.

    • Comfortable & Welcoming

We spent two nights at the Mozart Guest House on a recent trip to a Seattle baseball game. The house is a large heritage home in a relatively quiet area of Capitol Hill, approximately a half hour bus ride from downtown (less in quiet hours), in an area of lovely character homes. Sofia is a friendly and helpful hostess, providing us with bus and restaurant recommendations. There are several decent restaurants within easy walking distance (we enjoyed lunch at the Volunteer Cafe, recommended by our hostess). Our room was a large room on the second floor with a king size bed, huge bathroom and large private balcony. The decor is older but comfortable and clean. There is some street traffic noise but Im a light sleeper and it didnt keep me awake. Breakfast was croissants, shared fruit plates, granola, and yogurt, plus cooked eggs and sausage. We enjoyed the international assortment of guests from the US, Belgium and Norway. We were very happy to stay here, away from the downtown area, and we feel that we know Seattle much better after having explored one of the neighbourhoods. It was easy to get around on the #10 bus which stops right outside the door and goes directly downtown. We would recommend a stay at the Mozart Guest House.
