We had the best time at the Mountain Goat Lodge! The location was beautiful, lodge rooms were very comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. Gina and Darcy, as well as the other staff, were lovely hosts, and they really took the time to show us around and make our stay special. The animals were all so sweet, and we loved spending time with the goats! We found great hiking and biking trails within a few minutes of the lodge, which was perfect for us. We will be back to do some winter exploring next year, and we will definitely be booking at the Mountain Goat Lodge again!

We just stayed at the mountain goat lodge last week with our 2 families (my family of 4-2 adults and 2 kids ages 10 and 7 and then my sister in law with her dtr who is 8) we had 2 suites -both had 2 separate rooms(living room with sleeper sofa and bedroom with queen beds and private bathroom) . The rooms were very large and nicely furnished and they provided soap shampoo and conditioner as well as free snacks of chips and granola bars to munch on in the night. The lodge was amazing! Our girls loved petting the goats and hanging out with the chicken and ducks on the farm. We got to hand milk a goat which was very cool! The views from the rooms are spectacular -mountains in the background and the farm in front. There is a sweet dog suki too and a furry llama! The owners Gina and Darcy went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was super tasty. They also gave us lots of tips of where to go nearby. We basically just stayed at the farm for most of the 2 days though as the girls were happy enough just hanging out with the animals. They also had fun playing chess and board games upstairs in the loft area library (they have a beautiful Italian chess set) Overall I had no complaints at all! And we never heard any animals in the night or morning-which I was prepared for yet it never happened! Overall a fabulous bed and breakfast that is great for kids and families (and adults!!)

The lodge may be fine, the tipi not. Shared a smelly porta potty with at least one other tipi. Goat poop anywhere we walked. Started eating supper at the picnic table in front of our tipi only to have the herd of goats descend and start trying to get our food and climb up on the table. Right next to the highway so road noise, but worse than that was rooster that started crowing at 2:30 in the morning.

    • Definitely not your run-of-the-mill B&B!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and really had fun! We took full advantage of the offerings - milked some goats, took the cheese making class, went on a farm tour and walked around the property on the hiking trail. The property and views are just beautiful, and our room in the main building was very comfortable and well appointed. Gina and D'Arcy taught us a lot about the various animals on the property as well as the cheese making process, all of which we were ignorant of before. For those interested in an unusual place to stay where you can have some hands on contact with farm animals, I'd recommend this B&B!

This is a charming lodge, with goats, chickens, ducks and a llama to enjoy. We selected this place because I wanted to milk a goat, and participate in making goat cheese. Gina was a great instructor. We stayed in the retro camper , which we very much enjoyed.
