    • Very good

An excellent restaurant. The paste was very good. I had a caprese salad and the seafood risotto which were both excellent. My friend had a steak which was done to perfection. The wine list was fantastic with a big selection of Italian wines. Service was great as well.

Had one of the best meals ever here. The food is impeccable. The pasta is house made. Had a lobster saffron spaghetti, husband had lasagne made with wagu beef. Both were amazing. Cheese appetizer and tuna crudo to start. The waiter was extremely helpful with selections and very friendly. And the wine selections were very good.

Our hotel concierge recommnded Il Caminetto, and she was so right! Our server was wonderful --- attentive without hovering and helpful when selecting a wine to complement our meal. And what a meal!! Delicious homemade pasta, accompanied by made-from-scratch bread. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out, with a lovely bar area and fireplace. The only negative is that it's expensive. We averaged $100 per person, and no one had dessert.

The service was great, but thats pretty much where it stops. Bread is only served by the piece and you have to beg for another one. The cacio e Pepe reminds me of kraft mac and cheese, and the beef rigatoni tastes like chef boyardee. I have had better Italian food in Texas. To top it all off I told them it was my wifes birthday and they did nothing out of the ordinary. Def skip this place if you are in Whistler, the food is average at best. I am only giving it two stars because our waiter was a rockstar. Absolutely not worth the money.

We had a conference to attend in Whistler and came a day early to dine at Il Caminetto. What a fantastic experience. Every course was better than the last and the wine pairings were right on the mark. Our serving staff and sommelier were outstanding! Highly recommend this to beautiful restaurant to anyone!
