    • Charming hotel with excellent staff - where history meets presence

      Reviewed 13 August 2019

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The locaiton is in the very downtown, eayz to be found and park a car nearby. Everything in the city center is close by, just by an easy walk. We appreicted how the hotel remaiend its historical roofs and mixed them in a very functional and natural way with present technologies. Thehotel room was spacious, elegant, quite and reminded that history the hotel has. The hotel staff on both days we stayed in was very friendly, proactive, exceeded our expectations, Breakfast offered anything we needed and liked. No visitor should leave without having Ma cake! We look forward to come back to stay in the hotel again.

    • Absolutely charming hotel with wonderfully friendly and generous staff.

our family of 3( 18 year old girl) and another family of 6 ( kids-24-29 years) picked a very hot week in July to see beautiful Olomouc. We all were bowled over by the style and comfort of the hotel. Our rooms were spacious, light and visually charming. Breakfast- generous menu with lashings of good coffee were served by very pleasant and helpful staff in the most wonderful little courtyard. We spent ages over breakfast! After a hard day's exploring it felt like coming home! The beds were so comfortable. We could not have picked a better hotel!

This hotel is in a very convenient location, within walking distance to everything in the centre. The hotel staff members were very very friendly, and responded to every request very promptly. The hotel room was huge, and wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

    • Charming boutique hotel with friendly staff

      Reviewed 20 June 2019

Enjoyed our stay at Miss Sophie's in January. The room was spacious & full of character, the continental breakfast was good, and the location perfect for walking around the quaint old town. But the main positive was the staff, who were all so friendly and helpful. They recommended good places to eat and made you feel part of the place. They even posted my wife's leggings back to Australia that she had left in the room. Amazing!

    • This would be five stars if they had air conditioning

      Reviewed 16 June 2019

Blistering hot day in mid-June, about 92 degrees. Arrival, checking in with all of us sweating in the very warm cafe where check-in happens. Only two of the 8 rooms have air-conditioning, these are the small rooms at the very top of the old 15th century house, which means many, many stairs. Staff is wonderful, and helps carry the heaviest pieces of luggage for our two-night stay. All other rooms are large and nicely-decorated but without air con they are ovens. A small desktop fan was offered for mine. It was insufficient to deal with the heat and I tossed and turned all night long, probably got 1.5 hours of sleep. Non-stop noise from the street outside between idiots from the nearby club and the people racing their cars down the same street, impossible to have windows open. At 5 a.m. I booked a business hotel on the edge of town for the second night so that I could sleep in air-con and not be a total zombie for the long drive the following day with my clients, who stayed behind at Miss Sophies. Again, the staff could not be nicer. Really terrific. Nice breakfast. But the owners need to face reality that its going to be hot more and more in the future and install air-con units in the rest of the rooms. Modern technology makes this possible even with old buildings. I wouldnt risk a stay here in the summer months unless you have a high heat tolerance. I cancelled a reservation for middle of August and switched my clients over to a hotel with air-con and a lift.
