We truly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home there. Loved meeting the horses, dogs and the goldfishes. Loved the house as it had a lot of character and it ticked all our boxes. THANK YOU SHEILA for being a wonderful host during our stay. Definitely recommend this B&B to anybody travelling through.

We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at Marks Farm. Sheila and Chris are a really friendly and welcoming couple. Sheila greeted us with a pot of tea and biscuits out on the lawn when we arrived and we had a nice chat with them. The house is a lovely old farmhouse, the oldest part dating back to the 1600s. We had the use of a snug tv lounge and quiet drawing room. Our bedrooms (we had the Kingsize bedroom and our son the double Blue room) were very airy and spacious with vanity units. The beds are extremely comfy and we slept really well. It is so peaceful with just the sounds of the farm and nature. The bathroom - not en-suite but just across the landing, had a huge old bath with original fittings. The house is very country-traditional and has lots of cosy character and charm. We were given lots of fluffy towels and plenty of bathroom products. The breakfast was hearty with lots of lovely fruit, cereals, yoghurt, juices and whatever you liked for hot breakfast. Sheila also cooked us a lovely evening meal and made a crumble especially for Peter (his favourite) as she had plenty of rhubarb. All-in-all a lovely find and would definitely recommend.

In June this year I stayed with a friend from Cape Town and two other friends, who are French, visiting from Paris. We were made extremely welcome to this Scottish farmhouse. In addition to very comfortable bedrooms we had the use of a large lounge and dining room, plus a study with free use of wifi. Breakfasts were delicious as was an evening meal cooked to our own menu. We stayed two nights and they were the best accommodation we had out of a variety of B&B and hotels in UK. I would thoroughly recommend The Marks to anyone holidaying in this area.

I stayed 2 nights at the Marks, Sheila and Chris are excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble, the log fire in the snug was absolutely fabulous. The stay at Marks was so different from any other B & B that I have stayed at, it may be a family home but our privacy was respected and if I get the opportunity I would certainly stay again.
