    • Fabulous retreat

This hotel is located close to the historic old town. When you enter you find yourself in another world - beautiful lily ponds and gardens full of orchids - the place is a delight - where you can relax your tired feet. There are a range of comfortable rooms - all tastefully decorated and the breakfast has a large range of both western and Asian foods to enjoy as you look out over the ponds.Staff are friendly and welcoming. All in all a rare treat!

    • Great establishment

We stayed here for 4 days and the place was great. They gave us a $25 credit toward a massage. They had a high class restaurant and the view walking through the hotel grounds was pretty amazing. The restaurant is right on a small pond with lily pads. The room was nice but there was a large window looking into the bathroom right next to the bed with a see through shade you could pull down. Talk about weird when you're trying to drop a deuce and you catch eyes with your fiance. Even more weird when you catch her wiping and then smelling it, like YO what are you doing? Anyways, other than having to put on a blindfold when one of us went to the bathroom, the place was amazing!

    • Disappointing Rooms Without a View

      Reviewed 25 August 2019

We booked two Deluxe rooms for ourselves and three teenage children and were very much looking forward to our stay having read the super reviews. The grounds did not disappoint; they are stunning - to eat breakfast beside the lily ponds is a treat. We were hugely disappointed when we were allocated two rooms which did not allow us to enjoy the oasis. Our balcony of only a few feet wide had barely room for two chairs and a tiny coffee table. The view was of a wooden fence (see photo) which blocked the sunlight and made the rooms dark and claustrophobic. The balcony had a poorly maintained corrugated plastic roof which leaked water onto the fabric chairs rendering them unusable. The childrens triple room was so small and crowded that they avoided it and used it only for sleeping. The beds were so tightly packed that they had to get in and out of them at the foot. The bathroom was small, cramped and rather dreary (see photo). Having been spoilt by the quality and abundance of space in every other hotel we have stayed in during our fabulous three weeks in Cambodia and Laos we all agreed it was our least favourite hotel. So sad to end our trip like this .

This hidden pocket of paradise, with the lilly pond dominating the beautifully planted gardens of this hotel. We had rooms on stilts in the lilly pond that were just exquisite. Elegant rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms. Fabulous breakfast with the most delicious little coconut pancakes!! Oh how I dream of them!! Banana bread, pho, yummy yummy breakfast.

Spacious elegant rooms, amazing breakfast buffet with unusual and delicious choices, and excellent service. Location is quiet, but quite close to the centre of this small city. The lily ponds are beautiful and the pool is so inviting after a hot day site seeing. The first hotel of a long indochina tour and probably the best. Also loved Luang Prabang.
