    • Very noisy!

      Reviewed 09 August 2019

We stayed here with our three children in a two bedroom apartment. I was really nervous as I read the reviews after we had booked so I was expecting it to be horrendous! We were placed in a basement apartment down a flight of stairs which was a nightmare with the pram as there is no lift. The apartment itself was very clean and quite spacious. The bathroom was tiny, you could barely turn around in it it also stank of mould and was quite offensive. The beds were comfy enough but Im 58 and my feet were right at the end of the bed! My husbands feet were hanging off. At night it is so noisy, I could hear so clearly the conversations going on either outside the apartment or upstairs, it seemed like the people were in the room with us! This went on until about 1am and after that all was quiet and I finally slept! The apartment is located in a great place, easy walk to Hyde park etc but not sure I would stay here again with the noise.

70 stairs to the top floor unit, there is no lift and the stairs are very narrow making it difficult to carry luggage. Having said that the units are clean and nicely fitted. the studio is more like a hotel bedroom with small ensuite and nice kitchen fitted to one end of the bedroom. It has a microwave, toaster, electric kettle and electric hotplate. The fridge is half size. The location is good being within 10 minutes walk of Paddington station, numerous restaurants, a few supermarkets and Lancaster gate tube station. Just make sure to ask for a ground floor unit!

    • Great location and practical ...but a few annoyances

      Reviewed 07 July 2019

First of all - the location is great - 10 mins walk from Lancaster Gate tube station! We were going to the Summertime sessions in Hyde park - again spot on! Checked in - pleasant enough then had to walk to the top floor of the apartment block - no lift so bare that in mind if with someone who has issues walking. Apartment practical and had what we needed in most part space and bed wise. Downsides - We could not keep one of the two windows open and in 25/26 degree heat is needed and no breeze whatsoever! There was a bit of external noise outside and cause there was no fan or air con meant that we had no option but to live with it in the middle of the night! Finally - I had booked this for 3 people and I thought that either the futon sofa bed would be made for us on arrival or in the evening but alas no...this was left for me to make on my return! Not sure I would come back here but practical for what we needed it for at the time.

    • Abysmal

Think more than twice to book, we were offered a basement. There is no lift and no air condition. The staff are appalling and they take your money without offering a service. I cannot stress enough to stay away from these apartments that are found in Paddington and Bayswater.

    • Not what I expected. Average budget hotel for sleeping when on travel

      Reviewed 05 June 2019

Had a nice stay for 3 nights together with my mom (65yrs) and my daughter (9yrs). The apartment was quite spacious and ok, but a little smaller than expected from the photos I had seen. The apartment we had was on the ground floor, so the air was a dense and moist. Had to keep the window open, for fresh air. It was right below the entrance area in the 1st floor, so there was a lot of noise of people dragging their baggage? (or it sounded like someone was dragging furniture around above us). The roof of our apartment had not been cleaned, as spiderwebs/dust-threads was hanging down from the lamps. Fortunately, we were at a holiday and had plans outside all day, so all we did was sleep there. The beds was ok, and the hotel is close to Hyde Park, transportation, a Nisa localstore and several restaurants.
