The images on the websites are easily from 5 years or more ago when the property was new. Not a single scrap of maintenance has been conducted since. The property takes large 'security' deposits and then takes weeks to return them The apartments are not upto a habitable standard There is no onsite concierge only a London phone number. The entry system is flawed, unclear and there are multiple delays in gaining entry. The lift in the property does not work, and will not work, it is unsafe and has been decommissioned the property will tell you its being maintained this is a lie. The apartments share the building with social housing tenants out of 25 apartments the Lux Aparts runs 12 of them. Housekeeping is not daily and there are clearly no checks or oversight. Any decisions involving the property cannot be rectified by the person on the phone, they must get management approval and this can take upto 24 hours. - this includes needing to move apartments due to the absolute state of the property. I booked my stay through which rates the property much higher than other websites, the reviews for the property also do not filter into most recent first. It is highly recommended that you consider finding alternate accomodation. This place has no redeeming qualities. I cannot add photos because TripAdvisor allows a maximum of 5MB per image.

    • Underwhelmed.

The name " Luxury apartment" is very much pushing the description of this place! Firstly we were given the wrong code to get into the building, when we did get in the building we couldn't find our apartment as the signage is dreadful. The foyer areas leave a lot to be desired, wouldn't like to be coming in there on my own at night. Thankfully we were on the second floor, I think the first floor was less desirable. Apartment itself was ok, clean but basic Toilets required a specific art to flush them. Water didn't go down the plughole in the shower as it was clogged with hair. Jacuzzi bath stank when the jets were turned on. One of the blinds in the bedroom was on the floor ( therefore useless) No bedroom windows opened so would be stifling if the weather was warm. Bed and bedding was clean ( thankfully) as were the towels. only one pillow each on the bed no coat hangers in the wardrobe

    • Didn't even get to stay!

Paid a reservation last year to stay here. No check in details were forthcoming so had to call to find out ...very hard to get hold of. The Hotel claims that had not paid them! Impossible, I sense we were purposely overbooked to take advantage of a concert in the town where people would pay more. Terrible to deal with.

    • House of horrors

WARNING WARNING WARNING. Let me start by saying what a huge disappointment this apartment number 7 was. This place mascorades as Boutique Living at the Lux Apartments, well, let me tell you about our stay at what I call the Appartment from Hell, or Hells Apartments. After gaining entry to the building via a phone call to some obsecure phone number we were welcolmed by the fact that the lift didn't work, great, my wife and I are almost 70, thankfully fit and well, we stagged with our bags up the dark and dingy stairs which resembled something out of an air raid shelter somewhere in eastern Europe during world war 2. By the way, were were told, the lift doesnt't work because of maintenence work.....More like it didn't work because it did not meet safety regulations and these regulations havent been met for decades., nevertheless we walked up 3 flights of stairs to the first floor. I pity those people on all the floors above. We were confronted with the following as we entered the Appartment: Dirty cups and glasses in the dish washer. No plug for the sink. No dish washing liquid. No tea towel A washing machine that didn't work No coffee table. A breakfast table that wobbled and needed to be thrown away. Filthy and broken blinds and Windows. Both double beds need new mattresses, one big hollow in the centre, so bad that I slept in one room whilst my wife slept in the other. The bathroom was disgraceful. The jacuzz had to be cleaned before we used it, turned the tap and the tap fell off. Linoleum on the bathroom floor, cut, pealing and water soaked from years of no mainitence. Filthy dirty, black mold in the shower. Dirty toilet. Baked on tooth paste in the sink. No toilet roll holder. So the point I would like to make here is VALUE FOR MONEY We were charged 400.00 for 3 nights, we met other people staying in the same complex who paid 200.00 for what they described to us as a much larger apartment however with the same maintenance issues. We could have stayed at the Holiday Inn or the Premier inn for 70.00 per night and had a clean room and staff to help with everything, I see now when I look online that they are selling a room for 60.00, we have been well and truly ripped off. To make matters worse No reception no one to vent our anger at hence the review on trip advisor is the only place left to vent our Absolute anger.
