    • Convenient, clean, great breakfast, microwave, fridge

Stopped here for one night on our way across Montana. We didn't have a reservation, but there was room and a very friendly, efficient staff person at check-in. Based on the reviews here, we requested a room on the third floor. No elevator, but that was okay with us.The room was quiet, clean, spacious, had a microwave and fridge so we could make our own supper and store items from our cooler. Breakfast was generous with waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, breads, and more.

It's not a bad place to stay. Didn't get much sleep due to the room above us sounded as they were going to come through the floor. Hear the traffic to loud to sleep. Breakfest was ok had just waffles would have liked something besides that in the morning.

Husband and I stayed twice within a few weeks (passing through on business). To start, Ill say check in was prompt and the front desk attendant was great both times! No issues there. Parking for large vehicles was behind a wall (off the street) behind the property. Neighborhood isnt the greatest but we didnt have any issues here either. No elevator so pack lightly. Not usually an issue for us. The rooms and overall stay are the biggest reason for the two star review. One room on the first stay much different than the other on the second stay. However both had paper thin walls, where you could hear the person above you or next to you move or walk or watch tv all night long. The one room seemed as if the people above us would fall through the ceiling in our laps, is how much the floor beneath them and above us creaked. All. Night. The other Room didnt have anyone above us, but we could hear the neighbors and everyone in the hall loud and clear. Not very restful. Maid service the first night and second night were also very different. First night (well, am) we werent bothered. Second night, starting around 8am, we were interrupted on at least 3 separate occasions with housekeeping knocking on our door and trying the key card. When we finally left (30 min before the posted check out), most all rooms in the halls were open, sheets pulled off beds, and awaiting a cleaning. I have to wonder if this is why they were so eager to provide services (and yes, the do not disturb sign was put on the door the night we checked in). We arrived late after a very long day of driving and just wanted to rest... One room was passable and clean with very little staining on the carpet and clean, Unstained bedding. Other room had stains all over the carpet and a few on the top bedding on one of the beds in the room. Sheets seemed clean. Towels were clean. Hairs (not mine) all over the bathroom in the room with the stained carpet. Overall, not a restful stay and wont stay here again.

We stayed in Butte as a reasonable stopping point. The hotel clerk let us know about the Copper King Mansion as a place to visit. We were amazed at the tour of this Mansion and the older homes in the area. It didn't hurt that a friendly neighbor with her dog took time to explain her historic home and another one a block away. While driving we saw parts of the old historic downtown with it's old brick buildings and were amazed.

    • It was good!

As a rule I don't expect much from Super 8 but I was very positively surprised by my recent stay here. Positives: 1) Location 2) Price 3) Room 4) Staff 5) Room for a trailer Negatives: 1) Towels are like sand paper 2) The rate on Expedia was lower than in person and I thought I would have to go online to book a room even though I was standing at the front desk. It was resolved. 3) Advertised breakfast was very inconsequential I would stay here again.
