    • Amazing Comforters

      Reviewed 09 November 2019

I have been going to the Loews for years. My favorite part about staying here is they have several pillows in the room, with different softness levels, so you can pick and choose. But more importantly they have a seriously decent comforter. I tend to sleep with just a comforter and no sheets. Many hotel rooms have a rough, icky kind of comforter, but the Loews is perfect. In addition, my sense is they take actual notes on what you like and don't like, so you don't have to remember. If you don't like a room or like a room, I encourage you to let them know and they will generally note the preference. The bar downstairs pours a very nice Guinness as well and you can follow sports teams there. Nice bathrobes in the room, coffee is ok, plenty of plush towels, your choice of several newspapers. You just can't beat the Loews in my opinion.

Friendly staff, great location and very clean rooms! The building is the old police headquarters which just makes the atmosphere more appeasing! You are surrounded with such rich history all around Boston and this hotel makes your stay interesting and historically pleasing. You have nice views, and are located in the heart of Boston.

    • Great location

This is an old police building so the actual building is old and charming, but up to date and classy. The location is in a nice area in walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The desk people were very nice and informative. Once in my room, they even texted to make sure everythig was ok. My room was a tad small, but typical for a city hotel. The bed was amazing with a really fluffy duvet and comfy pillows. I slept very well, with no city noise. The bathroom had a nice shower and some motion sensing lights. There was also a heated towel bar! The restaurant downstairs was very good, but expensive. They have valet parking if you bring a car and it is pricey and a bit slow. Luckily we didn't need the car except for when it was time to leave the next morning. Overall, a great stay!

    • Great option for business travel

Customer service is where the Loews Boston excels - from check in to the moment we left, the staff was gracious, friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the text messaging, prompt service and attention to detail (remembering my name the next day). The restaurant downstairs is great too - love the hot bartender with the beard and batman tattoo - he was a doll. Rooms are typical from a business travel perspective. Not overly huge, nor over the top luxurious. As with most building conversion properties, there are some quirks like limited closet storage because of support pillars, etc. I did think the bed was comfortable, and appreciated the cozy robes. The motion sensor night light under the bathroom vanity is a great touch and one I hope to install at home! No views of note, but the property is well located and convenient to just about anywhere you'd want to go. Do note that there are quite a few stairs to get into the lobby, and valet service is on the side entrance. The side entrance does have an elevator to the lobby as well.
