    • Excellent Hotel

      Reviewed 02 October 2019

Stayed here for a conference and very much enjoyed the stay. They were very well organized for all the conference needs. All the food they served was excellent. Rooms are large and have all the amenities youd need: closet, large desk, comfortable bed, shaving mirror, mini fridge, ironing board & iron, etc. The decor is unique and I very much enjoyed the distinctness. The hotel itself has a great gym. I especially loved the fresh fruit there. There is no pool. They have valet parking or outdoor parking for $23/night. Seems high for a small town hotel. They were still under construction but it didnt bother us in the least. Workers were very discreet. All encounters with staff were helpful and pleasant. Room was cleaned very well early in the day. Location is in a downtown area a short walk to the harbour front, Main Street, State Building, and the Naval Academy.

    • Charming Decor, Comfortable Accomodations

      Reviewed 30 September 2019

Spent one evening here earlier this month. The hotel appeared to be nearing the end of its renovation and looked great! It is now part of the Graduate chain. Our room was comfortable and quirky with all new furnishings. The redesign is really interesting and fun and at the moment, everything seems brand new. The location is very convenient to downtown Annapolis sites and restaurants. We self-parked our car in the hotel's lot. Despite many events taking place, our room was quiet. It overlooked an interior courtyard but we could hear no noise from below. We had limited hot water in the shower and despite a skylight in the courtyard, the room seemed kind of dark. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay. Recommended!

Based on reviews of construction issues, we were a bit apprehensive about the Hotel Annapolis. The construction is all but done. The lobby is remodeled. The room we stayed in was very nice. The people there were very nice as well. It's located about a mile from the water. That's fine because it is a splendid walk. Plenty to see and do along the way. When I booked on line, I mentioned it was our 29th wedding anniversary. They mentioned that at check in. We went out for dinner on the 26th and came back to our room and there was a bottle of bubbly compliments of one of the staff. What a nice surprise. The only negative was that the Maryland vs Penn State football game was not on. Cable subscription issues, but we made the best of it and went to the Ram's head where it was on. We Are... Would stay again as we really enjoyed our first visit to Annapolis and the Hotel Annapolis.

    • Great location, terrible housekeeping

      Reviewed 25 September 2019

This is now a Graduate hotel. The location is terrific, walking distance to most sights. However, hotel is still under renovation. Most rooms are done, but I question the decor... could be a problem for those with sensory issues: stripes, plaid, floral, naval prints... and there's a naval officer's portrait on the wall across from the toilet, staring at you. I got past that, but housekeeping was pretty bad. One day just left my clean towels in a stack on the counter, the next day left actual trash on the counter. A friend returned to her room one day & found blood in the sink that wasn't there when she left it. A phone call got it cleaned up, but my friend later discovered a blood stained towel hanging on the rack. Unacceptable. I also did not have hot water in the sink, but ample in the shower. Another friend didn't have an outlet in her bathroom & half of the outlets in her "suite" didn't work. Overall, not the standard I'm used to, but perhaps it will improve once remains are complete. Quirky note, I did like the portrait of Roger Staubach (from his days at Navy), but then I grew up in Dallas during his time with the Cowboys.

    • Great location

Was surprised when we walked in and the whole lobby was being renovated which I was not aware of. It didnt really effect us besides having a few long waits at the elevator for it to come since they were working on the other ones. The room were very nice and loved the atrium where we were looking out to. The pictures up and down the walls, covering it was amazing. We were trying to figure out if the pictures repeated themselves. We did have a problem with people knocking on our door in the morning. First it was someone from the front desk, continuously knocking at 8:30/9 to give us our final bill which they just put under our door after knocking over four times. Then after someone came back and knocked twice. Confused to why this was happening and couldnt they just have placed anything they needed us to get under the door? But overall experience was good.
