Good value for money hotel. Only booked in due to an event at Lingfield Racecourse. Ideally located for Lingfield and Gatwick Airport. Rooms were clean, TV in room, along with towels. Free parking for the night we were there. Breakfast offered at 5pp, all I saw was cereal on offer (didn't eat there in the morning).

Weve been staying here for almost 15yrs now and will always stay here before a flight from Gatwick. The staff are always extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms are basic but relaxing - the showers are great and the beds are comfy. Tea/coffee facilities in the room too which is heaven! Even though its close to the airport, you dont get much noise at all. Its in a quiet area with hardly any traffic or cars going past too. Very safe location to leave your car whilst away too, and they let you take your car keys with you too (so you know no one will be using your car whilst away!). 10 minutes/11 in a cab to the airport too - everyones a winner. Cannot fault this hotel at all. Thank you!

Stayed here the night before a wedding. The hotel is good value for money. The room was nice. We stayed in the main part of the hotel and our Daughter stayed in the converted stables which she really liked. Crawley town centre is only a short drive away and has a good selection of places to eat. The man on reception was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend the hotel and would stay again.

    • Worst nights sleep

Here is my email to hotel Hi, So weve just left your establishment. No one at reception at the time of leaving, sorry to be writing this but I am fuming!! We arrived at 02.45 this morning as our flight was delayed. We tried to be as quiet as possible considering other guests. We had 2 rooms. No.4 not as bad as no.2. No.4 was woken about 7am by other guests but I guess as an older hotel this is to be expected. No.2 on the other hand was actually the worst nights sleep Ive ever had in a hotel. After arriving at 02.45 as previously said we were absolutely knackered. After nodding off,at around 03.30 roughly we started hearing cutlery, China etc being moved about, it was that loud I actually thought a member of staff was setting up for breakfast. So I went out to the dining room and asked the lonely lady if she was staff she said no, so I asked what she was doing and she said Im making some toast. So I said you are making an horrendous noise and she says well Im just making toast so I asked her to keep it down as we were trying to sleep in a very sarcastic voice she said so sorry. She was not quieter and then on leaving she placed the keys in the metal post box. (Whos ever idea that was to have a metal postbox so close to peoples rooms and thin walls needs dealing with) Then from about 6am you hear people coming and going and at one point in the following hours a member of staff was about and it actually sounded like people were in our actual room talking as it was so loud!!!! Now after working In hotels myself I know its nice to hear good reviews and I like to write good reviews, but on this occasion Im finding it VERY difficult to write anything positive about this hotel apart from the bedding was clean. I also did not receive my bill receipts. The WORST nights sleep EVER. I will be expecting an email from you with some form explanations and outcomes. My review on trip advisor will go on this afternoon with other comments to. Would be nice to be able to explain the outcome. Ive tried to include there reply but it bounced back saying Im not allowed to include their content. But basically it says that the receptionist asked us to keep quiet. That they have never had a complaint about metal post box. And that they would like an opportunity to make things better and offered us 20% off our next stay. My reply Hi In regards to my children making a noise thats not the case. He said there are children next to us and that was noted and I informed my 13 year old children to be quiet when we went in. Which they were!! We were 3 adults and Ive just spoken To my family and they have all said the same. We were all so tired they hardly said anything. Is it normal for anyone to be making breakfast at 03.30 in the morning. I also find it very unbelievable that no one has ever mentioned how thin the walls are and why there is no wall between our room and reception and breakfast area. The receptionist came down in trousers and a shirt with no shoes and was taken along time to check us in as he forgot his glasses! There was no night staff around at 3.30 when the lady was clanging in the breakfast area. Other complaints about hotel Very tired Tiles falling off around shower unit Toilet constant water flow noise No wall/door between breakfast and reception area. Why would we want to stay at hotel again where we hardly slept? We also stayed at another hotel 5 minutes from little foxes 10 days ago and in comparison much cleaner, bigger rooms and also cheaper. The only reason I didnt book there again as there was no availability. Overall would never stay here again.
