Of all the resorts on this stretch of beach this one is definitely in the top three. However the competition is scarce so do not get your hopes up. It is no more than a three star. We were a party of 6 and got the pool villas where we had our own pool with a number of other guests. Most of the time we were on our own. The main pool area is lovely but was crowded. Level of maintenance and cleanliness could have been a lot better. The staff are friendly and very nice but need some training in hospitality. Breakfast was ok. Dinner on the beach was also lovely. Location is very good. After staying in nusa dua this was a disappointment for me. However if you are looking for the old Bali then this is definitely the place. Very rustic still. Boat ride over was interesting and apparently can get quite hairy depending on tides and wind. Do your research before coming.

We (family with teens) had a fabulous 3 nights here. The staff are friendly and the service can not be faulted. I am overwhelmed that on the second afternoon the GM gave me his spare pair of glasses when I was beside myself after losing my reading glasses (I usually travel with a spare and will from now on). He didn't bother to worry about when. would return them, I just left them at reception when we left. The views are spectacular, we were lucky to be just a couple of flights up although the views up higher are even better. The villa is great and love the unlimited supply of filtered water. Cocktails by the pool are well priced and served with a smile (and often a bowl of peanuts). We will definitely return. My only criticism is the plastic bottle of water in the bathroom for teeth brushing etc.. I would love to see a reusable bottle of water here or just let people work it out for themselves to take a glass of water to the bathroom. Plastic pollution is massive. I also think we have reached an awareness of sustainability so towels don't need to be washed daily. A note letting guests know that your are caring for the island will surely cover this off.

We stayed for 6 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, the views are amazing and it is perfectly located near the main strip of eateries and the beach out front. The rooms are large and having two bathrooms was great. A large water cooler was provided which was fantastic and they happily replaced the mozi coils every day. The traditional open air nature of the villa means there are a few mozis but with the coils we were not bitten at all. The bedrooms are well air conditioned and with doors shut are fully enclosed so no mozi risk at night! We had lunch by the pool one day and it was delicious. Pool is not huge but a good size and one of the biggest I saw on the island.
