Laluna Hotel is superb! It is not the most expensive or the most luxurious hotel in the world, but it is a true gem for many reasons. First, Laluna is located in a quiet part of Morne Rouge with a fantastic beach that--although not private--is secluded and uncrowded. The clear, turquoise-colored Caribbean is just a footstep away from the soft white and black sand beach. Delightful sea breezes are often enjoyed on the beach and around the resort. Second, the Caribbean and its glorious sunsets can be seen from nearly every place in the resort including from the porch, the plunge pool, the outdoor bathroom shower, and bed of the Deluxe Cottage. Third, the Deluxe Cottage is clean, spacious and decorated with a colorful Balinese emphasis. The large walk-in closet is a nice touch. Fourth, the resort offers a stunning outside yoga Pavilion, a gym, a lovely Asian Spa where two Balinese therapists do their magical massages, an inviting bar and lounge area, water sports equipment, a library, and an open restaurant that serves plentiful and tasty Italian and Caribbean dishes. And last but not least, the Laluna Staff is amazing! Everyone is welcoming, helpful, and always friendly. Tracey, Tehara, Renee, Lystra, Enika, Urban (He also plays the steel drums on Sunday nights!), Dwight, Kelly, and Dennis all deserve special recognition and a big thank-you. Laluna is truly a wonderful and special boutique hotel. A one-time stay is a worthy experience; a return is a definite must.

    • A Couples Secluded Escape with a Bohemian Vibe

Laluna Boutique hotel is not like any hotel we have stayed at. Although the hotel is small it definitely has a lot of character for a boutique-style hotel. The rooms are cottages built into the hill overlooking the beach. The views alone are worth the climb. Tip: As most of the rooms are perched up the hill it does require climbing some stairs. If you have accessibility issues you may consider requesting a room closer to the beach. We stayed in July and it was extremely quiet. It was like we escaped to our own private island. It was exactly what we needed. We pretty much had the resort and beach to ourselves. There were some other couples there on their honeymoon. We initially thought that we would get bored with dining at the hotel every night and planned on leaving the resort to try some local restaurants. We never left as the food was always exceptional and extremely reasonable prices. If you are dining here in the evening and attract mosquitos as I do, I would highly recommend packing some bug spray. Make sure to indulge in a Balinese me, you will love it. The perfect way to either start or end your day. We stayed in the Deluxe beach cottage, perched on the hill overlooking the beach. It is a short 30 steps to the secluded beach. Upon entering the cottage you will see the romantic four-poster canopy Balinese king size bed with Bellora Italian linens. The canopy on the bed is romantic but also serves a dual purpose to help keep the mosquitos out, although we did not have any issues with mosquitos in our room. Off the bedroom, there is an outdoor bathroom area with a walk-in shower with ocean views, a large counter space as well as an enclosed toilet area. They also offer bathrobes, luscious bath soaps, shower gel, moisturizer, shampoo, and conditioner. The bathrooms are open-air, although they dont have airconditioning, they are equipped with ceiling fans. If you are looking for a true Caribbean escape that is different than your typical resorts then Laluna Beach Hotel is worth checking out.

    • Secluded and beautiful

My wife and I stayed at LaLuna from July 26 - 31, 2019. To start, we loved this island and this location. The pros: The beach, views, sunsets, resort, restaurant, spa, yoga and snorkeling were great. First, go during this time of year. You will have the beach to yourself. Its a scenic beach with beautiful small cliffs at either end. There are beach chairs scattered around and we had our pick of all of them every day. The water is beautiful. The ocean sounds as well. We found the snorkeling at the left corner out past the cliffs to be pretty good. Lots of sea fans, brain coral, elk horn coral as well as fish. The views any where you go are stunning. The sunsets should not be missed every night. Sit on the beach, bar, restaurant or in your private plunge pool and watch the sunset. We loved the rooms. They are not luxurious but they fit nicely on the hill, they are kind of cool and there arent many of them. Ive read mixed reviews about the restaurant and I pre selected several off-site restaurants to visit. Every day we said we would go to one of the other off site restaurants but we never did. We ate every meal on site. I thought the prices were reasonable, the staff was excellent (shoutout to Rene, we loved her but everyone was awesome) and the food was excellent every day. The spa and morning yoga were also a nice touch. We used the spa twice and yoga in the morning overlooking the ocean with the sounds of the birds and frogs was magical. Sunday evening music with Urban and friends was like having our own private show. I could have listened to them everyday. Urban and Cox were great bartenders and will make you anything you want but drink the rum punch, youre in Grenada. Day trip to St Georges to visit the spice market is fun. Friendly town. We walked all over and were very comfortable everywhere we went. Plan about 2 hours. Visit one of the waterfalls while youre there. Seven Sisters is great. Its a steep hike down and up. You dont need a guide but for $20 or $30, why not. Im glad I did. He pointed out things we would have never seen. Plan to swim in the pools at the bottom of the falls. Another magical experience. We opted to hire a driver in advance. We paid by the trip. Very reasonable and I would just email or call him the day before and he was always at the resort right on time. I used (Selena Coutain). He was recommended to me by a friend from Grenada. He is a gentleman and honest. Thats the advice I was given and it was sound. Another shout out to one of the young men working on the grounds, Kelly. We spoke to him several day while he was raking the grounds. It was moments like that which made this trip special. We were intrigued by the almond trees and he showed up the next day with a bag of fresh almonds he had shelled. Cons Steep climb, mosquitos, thats about it. We used a bit of repellent and it was no big deal but if you have an issue with mosquitos, you will encounter some. We used the mosquito nets in the room at night and we had no issues at night. Our room was at the top of the hill. I would stay in that room again, but I did get tired walking up those stairs. It will elevate your heart rate a bit. The view is worth it however. If you time it right, the workers would always stop with their golf carts and give you a lift. I was glad to catch one going by a couple times. Weve travelled to many of the islands and Central America and Mexico. I would rate Laluna very high. I would love to go back and visit again.

This Laluna Boutique Beach Hotel and Villas is so superb! The villas ate very comfortable. We can see the ocean from everywhere. They have their own beach. However, people can come to swim here. The beach is named: The Portici Beach. My wife swam in the ocean. She loved it. Everybody was friendly here. This is worthwhile to see! What a great place!

Laluna is exactly what you are thinking about when you think about a Caribbean paradise. The sunny sets are unforgettable. The beach is quite and great for swimming. The food is fantastic. The rib eye steak is the best on the island ... I know because I have tried them all ... It could be the best in the world ... No, I have not tried them all, but I am working on it. For sure, it is the best rib eye for the money in the world. Everything on the menu was prepared to perfection. The personnel in the restaurant, in particular, were outstanding ... pleasant and helpful. Great place to stay and a great place to eat.
