    • Absolutely crazy

      Reviewed 26 July 2019

We stay with the 5 of us in Thailand, my 2 sisters, father and mother. The riverfront resort is very customer friendly and the facilities are very clean! When we arrived there were fresh cold mint towels and some tasty juices ready for us. The houses we stayed in were very clean and the food in the restaurant is very good! The best part of our stay was the jungle toure with an overnight stay on khao sok lake. Our guide 'M' was absolutely crazy, he was making jokes and making fun with us! Later in the evening we had a beer together and had some good conversations. 'M' made our trip extra good, besides all the jokes he knew a lot about the area and was telling us cool stories. Overall our stay was very good and we'd love to come back!

    • Great location, Majestic Tour -- BRING CASH

      Reviewed 09 July 2019

I did 1 night in the hotel and 1 night on the floating rooms in the lake. The resort itself is really wonderful. Great room, great location. The little village is peaceful and has all the shops you could need. It's right next to the National Park entrance. Do bring about 15,000 baht with you at least. The hotel and entire town is cash only. When I was there the bank had not come yet to fill the ATMs so I couldn't get extra cash. The hotel staff were great and helped me figure out what to do. I think they were honestly more worried for me than they were about getting paid. They were really sweet. I highly recommend the Majestic Tour. I substituted the elephant bath instead of the massage. It was really great and I was the only one on that tour. I also added the night safari which was fascinating and led by a very well informed guide. They take care of all the arrangements for you and have a driver to take you where you need to be.

    • Resort Stay & Paradise Tour

      Reviewed 06 May 2019

I booked a solo long weekend at Khao Sok Riverfront, and I could not be happier about my experience. From arranging my booking to the daily service and tours, I experienced excellent customer service at every step. The resort itself is in a great location, with a quick walk to the park entrance. The room was nice - clean, comfortable bed, with the option for AC (even in May, the nights were cool and fan felt like enough for me). The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very accommodating and always had smiles on their faces! Bonus: I really liked that they lent towels for day trips! I opted to do the Paradise tour, which included three days of activities. Furthermore, you had choice of activities for Day 1 and Day 3, which I really appreciated. I opted for canoeing and hiking, but there were less physical options, if thats more your style. Day 2 was at the lake, and while there, you could try out different activities as well. The guides for each trip were very knowledgeable and engaged. Num was my guide during our lake trip, and took us into a cave. He was thoughtful about the weather and made sure safety was a priority. On the last day, I did a hike with Thong. It is possible to hike without a guide; however I learned so much about the vegetation and wildlife, that I wouldnt have experienced if Id chosen to hike alone. Personally, I thought the guide was very worth it. *One thing to note is there was an additional charge for a single booking. Personally, that did not bother me or impact my overall experience!

I'm really surprised by the reviews I found here. This is a 2-star hotel at best. The rooms are incredibly noisy because of the AC which shakes the windows and vibrates the walls. All the while the AC doesn't cool the room much because of the poor insulation. I've traveled all over Asia so I'm used to the hard beds but Riverfront takes it to another level. It's like sleeping on a concrete floor. And the pillows don't make it any better as they're like boulders. The bathroom is tiny and you're showering just over the toilet as it's an all-in-one type setup. The food at the restaurant was not anything special so I would look elsewhere for a good Thai meal. On the positive side, the internet was good, rooms were clean and location was good. Although overall I'd look elsewhere for a more comfortable stay where you'll be able to rest after a long day of trekking, hiking etc. I also think you can find better value for the rates this hotel charges.

    • Wonderful place to stay

Beautiful resort 500 meters from khaosok national park. Private bungalows along the river with a wonderful restaurant. Easy walking distance anywhere in town. The rooms have fans but no air conditioning but were still quite comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. They did our laundry and set up tours and transportation for us. They also picked us up from the airport. I would highly recommend this resort
