Amazing delicious fresh food thats wakes your tastebuds. Very nice owners, makes you feel welcomed. I had gteau piment, Achard lgumes, rice with a fish curry and coconut milk vegetable and it was absolutely divine. I also had a coconut cake which was just delicious. My friend and I are looking looking forward to going back. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

My Mum and I were heading back from a tiring day out. We left the train station in Nice and decided to find somewhere to eat on our way back to the hotel rather than go all the way into Nice town. Having tried a Vietnamese restaurant and been informed by the grumpy waiter that their food wasnt gluten free we found ourselves moving on to Le Saint Geran. It is a small restaurant with big personality! The owner, who runs it with his wife and son, greeted us warmly and assured me that there were GF options, no problem. He was wonderfully friendly and took his time to explain food options and flavours including spices. I ordered the Gambas with papadum and my Mum had the chicken curry. Both dishes were superb! Ive never had a dish like it and the curry was amazing! Our puddings were also delicious but by the time we ordered them the restaurant had gone from empty to full so we had quite a long wait for them, but they were so good it was worth it! Good value and totally recommended!!

Don't miss this restaurant when you're visiting Nice!!! Off the beaten track, fabulous food, super nice owner who runs the place with his son and wife, and had I already mentioned the fabulous food?? Honestly, where else would you be able to get a flavour of the Mauritian kitchen except for Ile Maurice? Everything freshly prepared and a truly exotic. Couldn't be happier to have visited this place again with the whole family today. Great for kids too, they let you be in charge of the spiciness of each dish :) First time we went is over ten years ago. Still excellent!!!! Don't miss this hidden gem, guys!

Unique experience with Mauritius flavour in food and atmosphere , friendly host in a family ran resteraunt. Really good food and choices. Food spiced to individual requirements,well worth searching out if your in the area.
