    • Convenient and good value

Only 10 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes from the town centre this is a very convienient place to stay if using Stansted Airport. The staff (Adam?) was very friendly and the room quite small but perfectly fine. The major disadvantage was most people seemed to be using the place for the same reason as us, before flying out of Standsted, so there was quite a lot of coming and going early in the morning. This, coupled with quite a lot of road noise, led to a disturbed night. However, overall, well work considering given the price and practicality.

    • Great accommodation

Lovely greeting at the pub when we arrived. No keys required for our room just a code for the door. Room was really clean and obviously recently renovated as everything was new and sparkling. Bed was super big and comfortable. Shower was hot and water pressure was great. Really quiet room too, even though it's close to the road we didn't hear a sound all night and slept really well. Just a short walk up the street to the main town area for restaurants etc. Quick 10 minute walk to the train station. This is a top spot for a night or two. Highly recommend it

    • One of a kind.

The Jolly Brewers had been consistently good for years. A quirky pub in South Street with a real friendly atmosphere, famous for its real ales and selection of single malts. Like quizzes? You'll not be disappointed with their popular music quizz and let's not forget the Sunday Night quizz. What I like about the Jolly Brewers is the 'something for everyone' ideal. I popped in not too long ago while waiting for a takeaway to be prepared at the Rivermill (see my review ) and it was games night. Groups of people playing board games of various types while a darts match was going on in the second area of the bar. Fantastic! A pint of Timothy Taylors landlord later, I was sorry to be leaving. The Jolly Brewers has rooms which are adjacent to the main building, though I've not had the pleasure of being a guest, I'm sure I'd not be disappointed if the occasion should arise. Great Pub.

    • Overnight before flight

We booked a room as we had a flight from Stansted the following day, and didnt fancy a big hotel. The rooms are clean and check in is super easy. Only issue we had was parking, and area around is permit to park, however you can park there between 8pm and 8am, so worked out fine for us. I should also think that if you leave the Room in rush hour it could take you the best part of an hour to get back to the airport. Certainly worth staying if you have an early flight (6/7am)

    • Good location and value for money.

The Jolly Brewer is located close to the town centre and they reserved a parking space for us which was a bonus at the pub car park is small. We had a friendly welcome. Our room was a reasonable size, basic but clean with tea and coffee making facilities and towels. Noise from the pub itself and the road weren't a problem and the black out blinds were also a plus. We were leaving early so didn't have breakfast. Our only minus point was the shower which was pathetic. Overall good value for money.
