On day when most restaurants in the area were full because of the Ironman, Le Lutece was curiously empty which should have been a warning. The service was erratic. Our server thought she was funny - she wasn't. Most of the food was ok but we certainly had better meals in Vichy.

Busy restaurant with a bit of a yesteryear feel. The food is of a good quantity and tasty. The service is OK if a bit brusque in its execution. The waitress rattled off the available deserts in a machine-gun fashion and so fast that the French man sitting at the next table asked her to slow down for us. Having said all this I would still go back and that is, for me, the measure for any establishment.

ReviewedIf you have had long journey and just want simple average food and wine this will work for you. Large restaurant, basic beef, all cuts restaurant at average prices... we had a Babette steak and chips and veal dish of the day casserole and chips with glass red Euros.

ReviewedSorry 'local and reliable ' review but this place is really 'hit and miss '.We come to vichy all the time and have eaten here numerous times. The entrecte can be very good depending which chef is on shift but by and large they knock this out very well. However the rest.. I would not serve to my dog. Steak tartare is a disgrace... They basically open bag of 180g steak tartare from 'davigel' this is Nestl co supplying food to the trade and bung it on a plate.. The preped veg -onions, tomates etc are a disgrace.. They should be ashamed.. Fish dishes 'plat du jour '..open a 'bag 'job from 'Davigel 'or the like. As I say.. Good entrecte and faux fillet.. Only comes with chips.. Ask for a mixed side salad. Pichet of ct du Rhne red not bad.. desserts..bof.. And bof Again but good ambiance..
