This is a very authentic house in the hills of Ravello, it has a beautiful view and is so peaceful. There are a few things which were falsely advertised - there isnt a buffet breakfast, however the host made us fresh coffee and homemade cake with an array of yogurts. The host was lovely however we could not communicate at all, she spoke no English so even ordering a taxi was a struggle. The walk into Ravello is hard and its through small narrow alleyways which climb to the main road. It can take up to 25 mins but the views are incredible. Theres no air con, and the bathroom is across the corridor. Theres no shops nearby so if you are heading back for the evening make sure you have everything you need. Almafi is 100% worth a visit by the bus, its 1.50 each way and takes about 30 mins. All in all the niggles of the hotel didnt ruin our stay, just would have been smoother if we had known these things before. We were also charged 3 each, for each night we stayed as room tax. Although booking stated all taxes were included we could not communicate this to the host as she did not understand so we were out of pocked another 20 on our last night - square this up before hand otherwise youll find yourself climbing the hills again to find a cash point late at night!

We loved staying with Anna. She is a sweetheart and reminded me of my aunt. Not as hard to find as we thought from reading other posts. Google took us right there. The view from the terrace is breathtaking!

    • Very difficult to rate - in some ways outstanding in others not so much

This is difficult to find - but we called our host and he came to find us. Very helpful. And he and his mother (who actually runs the place) were charming. Unfortunately she speaks no English. Our room was clean and tidy though the bathroom is across the hall and not en suite. Unfortunately, I got badly bitten at night - my wife did not (or didn't react to any bites she did get). There is not much parking and the road to the B&B is very narrow in places. Unfortunately, the only way into Ravello itself is either to drive or walk. There are a little over 360 steps to get up to Ravello so don't undertake this unless you are relatively fit. Of course the best thing about the B&B is the view, which is stunning. The breakfast, however, not so much. Good coffee and fine if you like Apple Cake but no bread (only plastic supermarket croissants). All in all: a mixed bag.

FREE PARKING - FREE BREAKFASTFREE WIFI We stayed at this very charming and typical Italian B & B for 2 nights and was met by the son after having difficulty finding the place..once there..up many step to this charming little house in the hills of Ravello....room was quaint and simple and nice little bathroom ....but the best part was the attached huge balcony to our room...with the most gorgeous view....wow....once settled with a bottle of wine from his mother, Anna... we climbed up 20 min. and many steps...to reach the town of Ravello..... what a view from there too... A very charming town where we had lunch...and saw Villa Rufolo's garden and Villa Cimbone.upon return to our B & B..we were so tired of climbing steps that we did not wish to go back up to Ravello for dinner ..hence no where to eat dinner...so Anna offered to make us a little pasta....and what dinner we had..not only pasta but a 2 course typical homemade Italian meal with good wine....we were so impressed..and we had fun communicating with her with the little Italian we knew..but it was not difficult...we understood each other...she also served us her homemade lemonchello wine after dinner..made from her own lemon trees...what a nice drink...so we asked her if we could buy 2 bottles to take home... Breakfast was nice..served on the patio...with Anna's own homemade special cake every morning...what a lovely woman she is...we were sad to leave...but promised to keep in touch If you're not looking for anything fancy..but just charming... we highly recommend this little B & B...Grazie Mille per tutto, Anna.

Getting to this place was a challenge, but once there, we were happily acccommodated for several nights. Anna gave us a warm welcome, our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfasts were superb. We had fun communicating, with limited English on one side and limited Italian on the other, but we generally managed fine. We didnt have a car, and to get to Ravello there are a lot of steps up the hill. This didnt worry us, but it could be an issue for some. For us, this was an excellent place form which to explore the Amalfi Coast.
