    • Maybe something's changed from better days--an only-once place

The "rack" of ribs must've weighed 8 ounces total, it was so dried out and devoid of meat. I seriously thought it was a mistake when I received it, like they had only given a half rack. But no, the ribs were tiny and dramatically overcooked. Best guess, cooked early in day and left to heat for hours on end. The plus side was, the brisket was very good, as was the sauce. No mac and cheese on menu, really? The cheesy potatoes had a totally commercial, high school cafeteria quality. Girls (teens) working the register were, let's say, untrained and absent in demeanor. Also, pretty expensive for what it was. I would not go again.

    • We were great customers at one time.......

We have ordered barbecue for different functions and have always been pleased. Came in yesterday to pick up barbecue. We were able to park on the side where we could see an older gentleman cooking. As we got out of the car, he told us that they were out of everything. We have had that happen a few times, and we understand. It was maybe about 6:40 pm. One girl was locking and unlocking the door, and telling people at the door something. Both girls there were so unfriendly, and appeared so disorganized. The only meat item available was the chicken wings. We've never eaten their chicken wings, so we placed an order for some. We ordered hot sides and the pasta salad. Someone was saying something to the girls from the back, and ones of the girls told us that there were no hot items left. It was difficult to understand anything. Everyone enjoyed the wings. Great taste, plenty of meat. Would order those again. We just finished a trip through the barbecue trail in NC, so we appreciate great cue. The pasta salad seems to have changed. We thought there had always previously been chicken with the pasta, but only found one piece in the large container, and loads of mayonnaise, very little shredded cheese. We have always felt that we have been so loyal to Route 62 since they opened. Something is different, but none of us could figure out what it was..all three adults agreed that there is a very unfriendly demeanor there. Sad, but true. Hope others will have entirely different experiences.

I almost didnt write this cause I am selfish and dont want to share this amazing place! This was some of the best pulled pork I have ever had-and I have had a lot. The portions were huge and the prices very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

    • Outstanding BBQ!

I lived in the south (Memphis) for 30 years. I fell in love with BBQ when I first moved down there in the mid 80's. So much so that I became pretty good at making my own (including rubs, sauces etc.). Moved to Ohio in 2016 and found that good BBQ is really hard to find (even the large boys in Columbus really don't measure up). This little place is legit!! The owner is from Missouri and could school some of the big boys in the Mid-South. Succulent pulled pork. Excellent brisket. Wings are awesome. The kicker is he does sides the way they should be done! I encourage any BBQ lover to stop by if you're in the area. Outstanding!

    • The brisket is the absolute best.

Weve been getting food there since they opened. Asian and hot smoked wings are also good as well as the cheesey potatoes and pulled pork. The mustard based BBQ sauce is my favorite. My husband likes their baked beans. Frankly Im not impressed with their other sides or dessert. Ive tried all their sides. Thats why Im giving it a 4 instead of a 5. They need some killer Mac and cheese or corn bread. Even the coleslaw is meh. But the brisket OMG! Great.
