good position for access to beautiful beach. good restaurant but not open until 20.30 close to town with plenty of tapas bars and shops. bedrooms adequate but take your own kettle as hotel didn't seem to have refreshment facilities.

    • Unremarkable, but a fine stay nonetheless

I think an Average (3) rating is accurate. Location is very good. Hotel could use a bit of updating in certain areas but the room was clean and tidy, and I was lucky enough to get a balcony room which made all the difference. Hospitality from the staff was so-so. This hotel is a fine value overall. Zarautz town is gorgeous- very glad I decided to visit!

    • Fine for a one night stop over.

      Reviewed 10 October 2018

Stayed here for an overnight stop on the way down to Portugal. It was fine. Room ok size, clean and light. Reception staff were helpful and friendly and gave us information about the town and where to eat. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we preferred to go out and have a look round. Pleased we did eat out actually as there was a coach load of people arrived who from all accounts caused some bother in the restaurant later on. ( shame to say they were Brits ). Breakfast was buffet style, but be aware, if you serve yourself, stuff your face as its quite pricey. If you dont eat a lot go for the waitress served, just a croissant, juice and coffee/tea. Its less than half the price. Take your own hairdryer as its a stick style and you could dry it quicker by getting your partner to blow on your hair.

    • I needed a hotel in a hurry to watch a football world cup match.

I was on the motorway nearby and just needed to find somewhere to watch a world cup match about to kick off. As I headed through the town on my motorbike, I saw the hotel and its car park. A very kind receptionist allowed me to watch the TV in the lounge, even though I made it clear that I might not check in, as it was still in the afternoon. She even apologised that she could not offer me a drink in the lounge, as I was a non-resident. At half-time, I decided to reciprocate the hospitality and checked in. The room was fine and not expensive, but the food in the restaurant was pretty basic mass-catering kind of fare below the standard of the rest of the hotel. Still I was glad that I stayed here. I would like to give my special thanks to the receptionist who treated me so well. People like her can make such a difference to any establishment.

    • Cheap and close to the beach but thats it...

      Reviewed 16 September 2018

My room was very basic, small, quite loud and extremely dark with just a window to the patio. Wifi was very slow. Positive: Its quite cheap and close to the beach. Friendly staff. Might be nicer if you get another room...
