    • Unpolite

      Reviewed 06 August 2019

I ate here during a trip to visit the castle. If I were in the shoes of the restaurants owner I would take some precaution about this big, unpolite and sad waitress who, at the very first sight of us has taken this rude behaviour against us. Pity, because the place is nice and the food is excellent. Even the price is adequate. Please, change this woman!

    • WOW, What a GREAT ROOM!

      Reviewed 13 July 2019

This hotel room was just perfect, nothing to fault. The decor, the fantastic bathroom with automatic lighting, the great bed and bedding, the view from the balcony, it all made this just a gem of a room. It is a clean, modern, alpine style, just lovely. The breakfast in the morning was also one of our best in Europe. The front desk staff were lovely as well.. The location of this hotel in the small village is very close to the castle and was perfect for our quick visit in the area. It is, however, right on the main road, but we didn't notice any road noise. There is a spa area within the hotel that looked pretty nice but we did not use it as I was a bit unclear how it worked and with only one night in the area, didn't have time to check into it further. This hotel is Highly recommened!!

    • Perfect one-night stay

We decided to book a night here during our stay in Bavaria to visit Castle Neuschwanstein. What a lovely surprise! The hotel is easy to find and there are parking spaces. Ideal location about 2,5km from the castles (we walked to the castles from the hotel). Very warm welcome, "lobby" looks nice and warm. The room was beautiful, looked brand new, very modern with a mountain twist. We had a balcony and a very nice bathroom. Everything you need is available in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Little surprise we didn't expect: free access to their spa (which closes at 9, ideal after a long day). We had dinner in their restaurant. The food was very good, unfortunately it closed very early (around 8.30/9pm). Amazing breakfast in the morning (Sunday). Lots of choice, from sweet to savory.

    • Wonderful place to stay

      Reviewed 27 December 2018

We stayed two nights in a newly renovated room that was spotlessly clean and a good size for a family of three. The buffet breakfast room and its offerings were truly delightful and generous. The restaurant attached to the hotel was locally authentic and a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were so helpful wth local tourist and transport information. An easy bus trip into Fssen or to the surrounding castles. Highly recommend. A real change from the sterile larger chain hotels in the larger German cities.

    • Great hotel with a very helpful staff!

We stayed 3 nights in one of their very clean, remodeled rooms facing the castle. We only had a shower, not real big but loved the large room with the view on a nice size balcony. The rooms in the back are alot quieter then the ones on the busy road in the front. Make sure you ask for one of them if you are a light sleeper. This hotel is very convenient to the castle, making driving so easy with traffic problems. It is right across the street from a very well stocked grocery store and an Italian restaurant that was very good with outside dining. The hotel gives you an area pass that includes free transportation on the buses, besides discount to the castles and other attractions. We took the bus into Fussen, bus stop right outside the front door, even though we had a car. Parking can be hard in some of the smaller towns. Double check the bus schedule, there are two one for summer and one for fall. Found out the hard way when no bus came at 8pm and no more after that! But the taxi stand was right there so the 4 of us hopped in for the 10 min ride back. This hotel does have a washer/dryer that really does help. They furnish all the soap, fabric softener which is very helpful! The staff at the front desk was very helpful in directions, changing large bills and the castle. Nice place outside the city but still close to everything you might need!
