We had a week at this hotel at the end of September. We arrived just after 10pm to find that the evening meal had just finished but there was a small buffet at 10.30 which was most welcome. We were checked in with a smile and efficiency and found our room on the fifth floor. We are at the rear of the hotel overlooking the pool and the pool of the next door hotel. The room itself was as expected with the added bonus of a bottle of cava and chocolate which was much appreciated. The room had everything we needed but the bed was far too hard for me resulting in not so good a nights sleep as we expected. The hotel itself is in a very good position overlooking the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the old town. The food in the hotel was overall quite good and varied. It was not always as hot as I like it but there was a microwave which sometimes helped. In the restaurant the tables were laid with just a table mats which is quite acceptable at breakfast and lunch but we did expect that at dinner the restaurant would be dressed with linen table cloths and servietttes. Sadly this was not the case and evening meal which, to us, should be special was more like a cafe. The staff were a little hit and miss to. Sometimes we were offered a drink and plates were cleared efficiently. Unfortinately this did not happen at every evening meal and on more than one occasion we had to ask for a drink. The entertainment consisted of one act which was fairly good and then a disco which guest quickly vacated. The hotel overall had a strange layout in that the pool was located at the rear of the hotel and to reach it you had to go through reception to the rear of the building and then two floors up again to reach the pool. However once there the beds were very comfortable and the pool bar was very good. You are also provided with pool towels which are changed daily by the housekeeper. The hotel was very clean and the staff most helpful. Finally it was a very nice touch when the hotel left us a half bottle of cava to wish us a safe journey home and thanks for staying with them. The beach is directly opposite the hotel but please be AWARE that the elderly locals are far from welcoming. We had found our spot on the beach and having paid 15 euros for two beds and a parasol settled down for a quiet time. This did not last as the local elderly people camped ONE INCH from the bottom of our bed and at each side and then proceeded to have the loudest conversations I have ever heard in over 40 years of travelling. We felt so unccomfortable and so unwelcome we moved back to the sanctury of our hotel pool. Overall it was a nice holiday which would have been perfect except for the locals and the lack of ambience in the restraunt in the evening.

Just arrived home after an amazing week at the Villa Del Mar Benidorm. This was our first time staying here and would absolutely stay here again. The hotel is immaculately clean, rooms are very spacious and ideal if you have a wheelchair. There is a beautiful roof terrace which is perfect for sunbathing during the day, not to mention the incredible views of the beach and the island, with the all inclusive bar serving cocktails and branded spirits. On an evening the atmosphere is further improved with subtle background music provided by a saxophonist, electric violinist or acoustic guitarist. The pool is on The smaller size but is adequate and the in water loungers are a welcome relief in the 31 degree heat. The best thing about this hotel for me was the staff, they are fantastic! From check in to check out they literally cannot do enough for you, reception staff speak fluent English and they are always friendly! The waiting staff and bar teams are brilliant, so hard working, they never stop! A big shout out goes out to Sergio the entertainment manager, he is fantastic! Always looking for the perfect act to suit the guests, he is constantly making sure people are entertained and enjoying their holiday! I would without a doubt stay here again, thank you x

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. It was our first time staying in Benidorm and spent a lot of time reading previous reviews of hotels before choosing this one. The hotel is based right on the promenade overlooking Ponientte Beach and a short walk to the old town. On arrival we were given the warmest of welcomes by the staff. We were allocated a room overlooking the pool area. The room was nicely furnished with towels, toiletries and tea/coffee with a kettle (which was brill). We stayed all inclusive and the food choice at all servings was excellent! Additionally, the choice of premium range beverages was very good with large measures! The rooftop bar had lovely views with sunbeds and chairs to sit but it was very hot and not much shade cover there! The pool area was small but we never struggled to get a sunbed and Sandra the pool bar waitress was a complete star.. so pleasant and interacted with everyone! Location of this hotel is ideal for visiting the old town which we had a walk down there every night. The beach is right opposite if that's what you prefer with sunbeds 5 each per day. The hotel didnt have balconies but it didnt really bother us because we didnt spend that much time in the room. There was also entertainment provided each night - but we didnt get to watch any due to being out. I would definitely return to this hotel in summary it was fantastic and gave us everything you would want...lovely staff, great food, fab location, modern facilities and to top it off superb weather on our trip! My only point is that we did witness quite a few people who were not guests just going to the restraunt & bar to get free food & drinks!! So a rethink or more checking needs to be introduced or a wrist band so staff can identify their guests.
