    • Excellent Staff and Location, but...

      Reviewed 21 August 2019

We stayed one night and were generally very satisfied with the hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the location is excellent (across the road from a rock-beach and two minutes from sandy ones). It's also two minutes from the main square with its numerous bars and restaurants; -and the boat trip departure quays. It is about 10 minutes from the Castle. No on-site parking, but there's a drop off just opposite the hotel and its possible to obtain from reception a daily "scratch card" 7 pd permit to park in a public car park about 7 mins walk away. The only negatives are that the rooms are quite small (though with decent balconies); and as other reviews have suggested are probably in need of some refreshment and refurbishment. All in all, though, a good choice for a seaside break in this pretty Italian resort.

    • Just like home but better!

Myself husband & my brother and my son came to Lerici for a family wedding. Lerici itself is just beautiful and this hotel is overlooking the bay. When we arrived we had some problem with our room but Gerry on reception sorted it all out quickly. He went to great lengths to sort out the problem and eventually upgraded us to another room. I can honestly say he was so professional and helpful and I loved his American accent and we really appreciated it The entire staff were excellent The breakfast was lovely and a wonderful selection to choose from. Sitting looking across the bay first thing in the morning at breakfast was a delightful start to the day. We absolutely recommend this hotel and it made our stay in Lerici a memory to cherish, well done Gerry & all your colleagues.

    • Weeks Stay in May

      Reviewed 25 May 2019

Typical Italian hotel, lots of marble and dark wood. We stayed in room 206, so 2nd of 5 accommodation floors, restaurant is 6th floor. And yes there;'s a lift. Being stone floors if there's guests above you then you're going to hear scraping chairs, though only out on the balconies I think. We were lucky in that only for one night was there a couple above us, though they made enough noise throughout the night for the whole week!! Outrageous as I lost my temper and swore at them, not being British that eh? Anyway, some facts. Room 206 was large and well equipped, kettle, hair dryer, tv, bath / shower etc etc. As a pointer room 6 on all floors are the largest. The sea view rooms are all on the road, which is busy though didn't stop my afternoon nap. In the evening it all quietens down, fantastic view across the harbour and out into the bay. Great falling asleep in the king size beds to the sound of waves breaking. Brekkie is typical Italian, and from the 6th floor a cracking vista, food is all excellent quantity and good range. Thank God no full English! Reception staff very helpful. Overall a great location and stay, only marred by the selfish muppet above us Saturday night 18th May.

    • Many positives, but a few drawbacks

      Reviewed 14 May 2019

The location of this hotel is undoubtedly 5 stars, it's views across the Golfe dei Poeti cannot be surpassed, so sitting on the balcony and watching the activity across the bay is worth a great deal. The hotel is a little dated but it has charm. We enjoyed our chats with the lovely man on reception. The breakfast room was lovely, though a little on the small side it was never too busy during our stay and the breakfast was fine. Local foccacia, hams, cheese, a waffle maker, eggs, cereals , croissants and more teas than you could shake a stick at. My main issue was the unpleasant smell in our bedroom, a drain like whiff as soon as you opened the door. We did mention it and air freshener was promised, but it never arrived. I kept the balcony doors open and that helped to alleviate it. Come, but avoid room 408

    • Perfect Location & Amazing Views

      Reviewed 12 May 2019

The hotel is clean and the staff is very nice. The rooms are great and our bathroom was huge with a tub but the reason to stay here is the location and view. You are a 2 minute walk from the main piazza with over 15 restaurants to choice from right on the waterfront - we chose to walk a bit into the back streets to find our restaurants.
