    • 14 euro for a basic sandwich, because of the electricity used

Yesterday walked in Hotel Su Punta for a coffee and a snack. We had 2 coffees, and 2 sandwiches. One cold cheese sandwich and one toasted sandwich cheese/ham. (And we are speaking basic sandwiches, absolutely nothing special) The bill, 34 When I asked if the bill was correct, the waiter told me that he would get the manager. According to the manager; Josep Font - there was indeed a mistake. The cold sandwich was 6 overcharged. (Can happen although a sorry would be nice) The other hot sandwich was still correctly priced. When I asked why the difference was so much? I meen, 8 euro is expensive but 14 is crazy. According to Josep Font the 6 euro price differences was built up to the fact that they had to switch on the toaster. A lot of electricity was used and therefor the price was 14 (Yes, he was dead serious) All together we payed 28 for 2 coffees and 2 basic sandwiches, madness! Looking to all the staff wearing well ironed suites, the electricity bill must be going trough the roof there

We stayed here for two nights as part of a cycling holiday round Coastal Catalonia. A very enjoyable stay, the tasting menu at dinner was excellent, very comfortable rooms and facilities, the swimming pool great for a decent swim and the staff excellent.

Had a 5 day break in this magnificent hotel, great staff, fantastic pool, fine accommodation, and superb food. Very relaxing surroundings, well manicured, kept inviting and cooling in the hot sunshine

The pool and gardens are lovely, the ladies at reception were extremly helpful, the breakfast was good and the staff there were friendly and helpful. On the downside our room 119 was not great. The bathroom had a glass wall that limited privacy and caused light issues at night. There was no proper shower just a hand held one in the bath which sprayed all over when used. I found the mattress very hard but in fairness when I mentioned this at the front desk a softer cover was put on which helped a bit. The food in the restaurant was really excellent but the service was poor. The staff seemed rushed and in some cases downright unfriendly. I think the young waitress cracked a smile but certainly there was none from the maitre d or the other waiters. There was a tasting menu advertised outside be we were not offered it, we had to ask to be given a wine list . We tried glasses of 3 of the house wines and 2 of them were very poor indeed. Not great.

What a fabulous find! This beautiful family run hotel is immaculate with first class fixtures and fittings. Lovely gardens and pool and so many comfortable places to sit both inside and out. The restaurant should not be missed, first class food and service. Would recommend to anyone. The rooms are spacious with comfy seating and the bathrooms are beautifully appointed.
