    • Mostly a good experience, but....

when we arrived we were given a room with a doiuble bed when we had requested two singles. The decor is "faux convent", not very attractive, The rooms had little personality. The bathroom door is frosted glas so at night it lights up the whole room. The hotel was listed as "10 minutes from the city center", but it is about 18, and uphill.

    • A fabulous Haven after a long Walk!

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights after walking part of the Camino! We loved it! It had a luxurious feel at a reasonable price. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to be helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless and a decent size. The salt pool, though cold was a great start to the day. The communal areas and bar were also fabulous. We would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be back soon!

    • All as it should be

Comfortable hotel with very professional staff speaking excellent English. I timed our walk to the main square as 12 mins but beware it is up hill, the gradient only being a problem I guess if you have clear mobility issues. The bedroom had excellent beds with great black out curtains. The hotel is used by American tour groups but did not feel overcrowded, apart from when they all gathered in the bar.The breakfast looks overpriced but if you fancy something lighter, the small cafe half way up the road to the square does nice light breakfast for 4 euros, English speaking as well! All in all a comfortable experience but maybe lacking the wow factor that a 5 star hotel implies. The big plus is that the hotel is a little away from the pilgrims who can create a disturbance in the celebrations at the end of the comino. I would happily stay again.

    • Beautiful hotel in a park setting

I loved this hotel! It has a 'boutique' feel and felt modern which I like. The staff were fabulous and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable! It's in a quiet part of town and about 10mins walk to the Cathedral. Lovely bar are and terrace outside. Only stayed 1 night which is a shame as it would be ideal for a longer stay as it's very relaxing here!

    • Nice Hotel, very comfortable beds

      Reviewed 25 August 2019

Having just returned from a 5 day stay at this Hotel, both my daughter (who had just walked the Camino) and I thought the location was excellent. Its a nice easy, 10 minute uphill walk to the Cathedral, museums and main square. There are several bars and restaurants within the locality. The Hotel staff were always helpful, our room was a reasonable size with clean and very comfortable beds. There is an excellent breakfast buffet, offering fresh fruit, a hot buffet, pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. The bar/lounge area is comfortable and offers tea/coffee, snacks and bar meals, we totally recommend the cheese sharing platter! However, I wouldnt rate this as a 5 star hotel, there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The satellite TV is in Spanish only, not even an English speaking news channel. Not that I go on holiday to watch TV, but it is rather nice to relax in bed watching TV. The fitness pool is not heated, at least it wasnt on the occasion we attempted to have a swim, we found the water to be far to cold, which was probably why the pool was empty. And there was no complimentary bottled water provided (as stated on their website). Overall, this is a lovely comfortable Hotel, in an excellent location and offering good service in a nice environment but in my opinion this is not a 5 star hotel. On arrival I took a bus from the airport to the central bus station, but I then had to take a taxi to the Cathedral, where I was meeting my daughter following her 800km walk, there were no street maps available and I had packed mine. The bus was only 3 and the taxi was 5. Returning to the airport, we took a taxi from the hotel for a flat rate of 21. The taxis are worth a mention, as they are all metered and spotlessly clean.
