    • European or not, you will love this place

Excellent perogies, they are no doubt a specialty of the restaurant. You can even buy frozen ones to take home (which you will be tempted to do they are so good). We had the snitzel and the goulash and both were excellent with generous helpings. Too full to try the desserts. Very nice quiet atmosphere, excellent service.

    • Not sure how to feel, the little things count, possibly new owners?

Well here goes, My husband and I decided to come here for dinner as it was our anniversary, it was last minute and they graciously fit us in as they were fully booked but explained that we had 1 hour and ten minutes which was good with us as we appreciated being fit in. The food was excellent, the service was great, the atmosphere was great and the prices were fair, overall no complaints. After we completed our meal we paid our check and ofcourse left a generous 20 percent tip as we had a great time, we weren't made to feel rushed at all. Now for the bad, normally we would have stayed for an after dinner baileys coffee as they give you a sugar coated stir stick for your coffee which we have always enjoyed, but seeing as the time was limited we didn't order one as we didn't want to hold up the table. After we had paid as an after thought I asked if I could have a couple of the sugar stir sticks, the waitress came back and gave me one and said the following : I can give you one but normally we charge 50 cents for one. After a wonderful meal we left feeling embarrassed and made to feel cheap. I'm thinking that the manager had told the waitress this and she just relayed this message. We are not the type of people who complain nor have we ever tried to get things for free, and we rarely write reviews. I am wondering if there is new management? I had originally discovered this restaurant when I was working on the plumbing about 7 years ago, the owner was so appreciative that I was able to get his restaurant back up and running before a big night as he had the ESO coming that he insisted on making me a meal of schnitzel, he was a lovely man. Since then we have come back with friends several times over the years as honestly the food is wonderful. Sadly I don't think we'll be back as I was left with a feeling of embarrassment and feeling cheap when we are far from that kind of people. What's upsetting the most is that everything was great until that moment. The owner who insisted back then on making me the schnitzel would never have said such a thing, if there is new management I'm thinking they should learn a few things from him as honestly it's the little things that count. I was made to feel embarrassed and cheap over something that costs 50 cents, so minimal. A night out is more than the food, it's an experience and this was an experience that was wonderful up to that moment. Truthfully the little things matter. I have rated them as average because of this experience, I felt like rating them as poor but I don't want to hurt their business and ratings matter especially if the gentleman that I met many years ago still owns the restaurant. Without this experience I would have rated them as excellent.

Warm garlic bread (gluten free) and Black forest cake for desert (gluten free) with a great chicken schnitzel for dinner. YUM!! The overhead fans were a bit chilly in the room we were in. Service was good but slow for food arrival after the soup. Thanks!!

    • Amazing atmosphere and gluten free food!!

Taste like home, was my first thought of the pickle soup I initially taste tested. I ended up with the fish special that was offered with Borscht soup, all of it was amazing!! Food, Atmosphere, and waitress. I went for a business meeting luncheon, and the waitress was highly respectful not to interrupt out conversations. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion!! In particular for a special occasion. All of it is organic and gluten free, and my plate was empty at the end of it.
