Spotless clean guest house style hotel, , Walter on reception is a lovely man gave me tips where to and not to go. I had a room on front of hotel with street veiw above a local bar with outside tables but closed before midnight so by the time i got in from dancing in old town i could sleep in silence. 5-10 min walk from hussle and bussell of old town centre square but far enough not to hear a peep of noise from it.lots of lovely bars and resturants in same street as hotel but hidden as look like little doorways when go in have all amazing sea veiws. deffo got to go resturant 54 up spiral staircase see amazing sea veiw not sure what food like as i just had drinks. Recommend a visit to king carvery off main square for sunday roast dinner. Bus ride to strip in new town 1.40 from top esculators or 5 for all day ticket on choo choo train. Fell in love with Portugal after this trip. Just booked hotel frentomar again for October with a friend and booked a sea veiw this time.

Lovely location, pleasant staff, clean rooms so checks all the big boxes, with just a small effort it would be highly recommended. Though its a 2 star hotel, WiFi is standard nowadays pretty much anywhere but it was dreadful, I couldnt even checkin for a flight, one review said they streamed Netflix, I guess it was during the off-season. Though their site says coffee/tea making in the room please note they give you 2 teabags and 2 instant coffees on the first day (even if your there for a week) but then the rest is up to you to buy near by. And know maids dont clean coffee cups or glasses, not a big deal but you get only a soap dispenser in the shower so just note you can wash your body, hair and cups with the same liquid soap. Im not trying to deter anyone from staying here but just be aware. I will come back but will bring the necessary items for convenience. Basically for a few pennies for the hotel to do a little more for people on a beach vacation, it would go along way. Again it is 115 Euros a night in season, if it was slightly less could see some of the corners cut.

We found this hotel very clean and friendly kept immaculate every day excellent cleaning staff. Fast WiFi fridge tea making facilities. We booked a sea view and this was on the top floor a fantastic view would be hard to better anywhere. The only minor down side was the last few steps to the top floor quite steep with a sharp turn to the landing. People with walking difficulties maybe find this a bit of a struggle. Dont let this put you off the room and the view are definitely worth the climb. The location is perfect a short walk left takes you to the harbour a short walk right takes you to the old town and the lifts down to the beach.

I have just come back from a week spent at the Frentomar Hotel. The room was pretty basic no kitchen but the view from the balcony was to die for!definitely worth paying the extra to have the sea view! Towels are changed every day which was very nice! The location of the hotel is spot on: within walking distance you have the Marina for any boat tour, the old town with many bars and restaurants and the beach! Walter at the reception is very friendly and helpful, he gave us loads of tips on the beaches around Albufeira! I definitely recommend going to the Cafe Iguana for nice cocktails and portuguese platters on a beutiful terrace overlooking the ocean! For a nice meal, I recommend Restaurante Rossio, the service is absolutely amazing! For the best Sangria, go to Sal de Rosa bar! If you want to enjoy some portuguese live music go to Atrium restaurant! We have been to Santa Eulalia and Sao Rafael beach and enjoyed both! If you fancy a boat tour, we have been to Benagil and the caves with Mara Catamaran, it was one of the best day of our holiday, boat tour and BBQ on the beach, you can book a full day or half day. We had an amazing time!
