    • Good hotel in the centre of town

      Reviewed 21 August 2019

Staff are friendly and ever helpful. The Half board option provides a fabulous buffet spread for breakfast and the full board option provides a filling 3-course meal with an ever-changing menu. The rooms are clean, tidy and acceptable size. Strangely though our larger room has a small kitchenette with a sink and hot plate but absolutely nothing to use in the facility. No cups, plates saucers, knives or forks. No kettle or tea or coffee so some what surprising. Non the less, a nice hotel and I would be happy to return to this hotel set in this beautifully stunning location.

My wife and I were on a road trip recently and decided to stay in Lerici. We stayed at Hotel Italia for 1 night on our way to Lake Iseo. The room was bright, comfortable and clean with views over the bay. The Hotel staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves authentic, delicious Italian food. It's about a 10 minute walk to the port via stairs and laneways. The continental breakfast was sufficient offering a selection of cereals, cold cuts, yoghurts, pastries and bread. The only issue we had was when checking out, the gentleman at the desk wasn't familiar with how to receive payment by credit card which meant we had pay cash, would have been an issue if we didn't enough cash. I would still recommend Hotel Italia, great location, staff and service.

    • Clean with friendly staff

A very clean hotel and staff very friendly, some not great with English but were always smiley. It is a steep walk down and up from the town but has a nice view from the windows. Parking was secure at the top but we got the last spaces and other guests parked in designated parking on the road. The first night there was a private function with a guy who was singing very badly and very loudly, the music shook the walls and went on until 1am. The hotel did say they had emailed us to inform us but we didn't receive the email at all and asked for a Copy when we got there, it was dated 3 days prior to our arrival and addressed to one of our guests they hadn't got the name of until we arrived they did cook scrambled eggs and bacon for our breakfast on our last day which was amazing and the beds were super comfy and the blinds meant you could totally black out the room. The maids were very eager to clean and we asked them not to and we took our key but they still did whilst we were out.

    • "OK"

      Reviewed 11 April 2017

I can say that the hotel si "ok", not bad, not awesome. Not awesome, because the rooms are quite hot and the furniture is really old dated. The restroom does not have a window, so it is not very ventilated, although it has a ventilator. But I can say the rooms are clean. Breakfast did not offer anything special at all. We did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The position of the hotel is really close to the port and main plaza. Staying for one night was ok, but it isn't the type of hotel I would like spending more than that.

    • Laid back stylish Italian hotel

A little out of town but wonderful views. Steps down to town right opposite the hotel. We found it actually easier to walk down the road - less of a slope. On first glance the hotel seems a little tired but actually its not. Restaurant is lovely - portions are huge - we started with 2 courses each and quickly went down to one. Breakfast is continental with as many wonderful cuppucinos as you can drink. Wine quite reasonable. Quite hard bed but suprizingly comfortable. Free wifi. Nothing too much trouble. Free parking - a really good 3 star with lovely kind( limited English speaking ) staff.will def return.
