    • A well named Hotel

Our experience in this hotel caused us plenty of GRIEF. We arrived late in the evening and the dining room stayed open to give us our dinner, which was great. The size of the room allocated was very satisfactory. However, there was just one chair to sit and read. We requested a second chair but they could not oblige. There was no furniture on the balcony.I have never experienced this in all our travels. so we requested a table and 2 chairs for relaxing there, but again they said no. Furthermore, there was no explanation offered. One of the days we were out hiking and all our clothes and gear got drenched. On our return, we asked if they had drying facilities, but they said no. I asked if they had a ski room and they said yes, they do. We requested them to open it to facilitate drying, but yet again, they said no. When we asked how we were meant to dry things, the manager just shrugged his shoulders. The hotel had a very spacious swimming pool, but only opened daily from 15.30 to 18.30. As residents, there for a week, the charge was 6 per day! Can you believe that? The breakfasts were at best mediocre, with no real variety. The dinners were an improvement. The staff in the dining room were as helpful as they could be. At times you got the impression they were on a bonus for clearing away plates, they were so attentive in clearing up and serving the next course! Check out time was 10am. Between 9.15 and 10 there were 3 different knocks on our door trying to get us to leave immediately. As you might have guessed, we were very keen to leave this hotel, but of our own choosing.

    • Lovely Hotel but too noisy

Hotel Reception: Staff are very helpful and friendly. Catering: A good choice of buffet food for breakfast and dinner. Plus there are also other menu items that can be cooked at your request. In the evening there is also a superb dessert table. Restaurants: The main restaurant is split into 3 separate areas. 2 smaller areas and 1 large restaurant. The larger area has more of a cafeteria atmosphere if it is busy. You get allocated a table for the duration of your stay. Spa & Pool: The pools and whirlpools are very nice, although they do get busy in the afternoons so sometime was difficult to get a lounger. You also have to wear footwear in the pool area, and a swimming hat in the pool. These can be bought for a few euros if you haven't brought them with you. Bar Area: A nice large bar area with a good mixture of tables and comfy sofas. However, the entertainment team are a bit too much. There is no getting away from them. They finish about 10:30 - 11pm every night and if you're in the older part of the hotel you are directly above the bar and can hear everything. This will put me off coming back to this hotel again which is a shame as everything else was very nice.

    • Excellent hotel and holiday surrounded by spectacular scenery the Dolomites

This is a fantastic hotel surrounded by wonderful scenery and spectacular mountains. We used it for a skiing holiday but I imagine in summer its great for all outdoor activities. Its a 3 minute bus ride from the slopes and they operate 2 buses when busy so effectively its door step skiing. The staff are very professional and pleasant and can speak several languages. The rooms are excellent, comfortable and spacious and spotlessly cleaned. There is a large pool and dracuzi with aa steam room and sauna in the Spa. The food was good and plentiful so you wont go hungry and there was lots of choice. The skiing is vast and I imagine the walking is the same. Rarely do I write such glowing reviews on a hotel but this one deserved it.

All the staff were very efficient and friendly. The hotel was extremely well presented . The ski shuttle was very efficient, but could start a bit earlier in the afternoon on poor weather days. The Spa and pool were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent , evening meals were a bit confusing at first .

Set in the Southern Tirol - a meld of Germany and Italy that complements each other perfectly. Group of six, taking three double rooms in the newer part of the hotel. These rooms are spacious, very clean and well appointed with great mountain views. The Spa area is great - no children, tranquil setting with Sauna and Steam room - you wear your swimmers in here (big relief) there is also a lovely resting area with loungers thoughtfully placed to take in the view. The swimming pool and jacuzzis are great, children are permitted, the area is well monitored to ensure the safety of the guests. You must wear flip flops and a swimming hat (so pack these or be prepared to pay for them). Bathrobes are available for a small fee, blue towels are complementary. Avid tasing your room towels as they will go missing! The bar area is large and comfortable, the staff excellent. The Dining is also very good. We enjoyed half-board - breakfast offer was able to accommodate gluten/lactose intolerances, evening meal was a delight- lots on offer through the buffet with some options needing to be ordered from the kitchen. WE are not aware of an 'a la carte' offer but frankly this was not needed. There was an option for fresh sea food at an additional cost. The wine offer was good 'Pisano' seems to be the local preference - throughly enjoyable. Reception - fantastic. We had an incident that required the hire of a car, this was eased by the very helpful reception staff. Transport - as we were skiing they offer a shuttle 8:30 - 11:00 and 14:00 - 16:30hrs with a couple of extra ordinary in between. This is a valuable and much needed offer as any distance walking in ski boots is not great. The transfer to the main lift are was less than 5 minutes. Generally this was a very good hotel. We had stayed in another last year and prefer this one.
