Great Service
ReviewedThe service was fantastic. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. The room was very nice and the balcony over the river was amazing. The location is also very convienent.
Lisa ROk - wonder what other rooms are like.
ReviewedPretty tired hotel - no updates in a long time. No air conditioning - pretty stuffy in August. Terrible lighting in the room. Very marginal bathroom. Nice bar - we did have a good lunch - good brat, great German potato salad.
djd1019The Best of the classic Vail Experience!
ReviewedLocation, location. Right in the heart of original Vail. The bar is the best place for people watching in the village. Very clean and in good working order. Mr and Mrs. Gramshammer run a tight ship and have learned over the years how to make their guest feel really special. The relaxing Austrian chalet experience is only surpassed by the great drinks and live music in the bar, and the wonderful German fare in the restaurant. The continental breakfast is what this type of breakfast should be! We found our stay very relaxing and departed with a feeling of well being that comes with the old world charm of the Gasthof.
RichSikesNot For Visits During Summer Months
ReviewedI would not recommend staying in this hotel during the summer months. They do not have A/C and it gets very hot on the third floor. They did provide box fans. We did not feel safe because the balcony wall was built so low that anyone from the rooms next door could have easily stepped over the wall and entered our room! Also, when we asked to check out one day early they refused to give our money back. On the plus side, it is a quaint hotel with nice furnishings and a comfortable mattress.
Trissy5Wonderful Visit
ReviewedCan't say enough about the staff, rooms, restaurant, and other facilities at Gasthof Grammshammer. The staff were all so pleasant, well-informed, and most helpful; it felt as though we were dealing with a caring member of the Grammshammer family in each person. The history and charm of the hotel and restaurant made the experience of the overall central Vail village all the more enjoyable. We can't say enough about how pleasurable our stay was here.
