    • Service Improvement Needed for Foreign Guests

      Reviewed 18 March 2020

Location isnt as great as touted . I doubt anyone goes to Nagasaki just to go shopping in the side streets . There is so much more in Nagasaki. Forzas Parking is expensive and not near. There are less expensive and more convenient lots are available. Rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms too. Check in was pleasant and welcoming. The ladies quite helpful. After paying for the room however, everything was a no or dont know except for the rather good coffee for free. Even sending a parcel was a problem. When I mentioned box, male staff immediately said No without even letting me finish. They dont have boxes. When I persisted with my question he sent me to another side to another person only to come across onlynwhen i said he was unhelpful. After pushing them to call Yamato they said I would need to carry my box to Yamato to pay for the sending .The hotel it seems can only send things on a cod basis meaning if you are foreign and dont live in japan then its not available to you. We took our box to Fukuoka our next stop where at Mitsui Garden Hotels they extremely helpful experienced and took care of everything. Lots of Other Options if you need to stay in the area but lots of other areas to stay in too.

    • Not up to Japanese standards by any stretch

      Reviewed 09 February 2020

This hotel is attractive because it's located in the busiest shopping arcade in Nagasaki, but leaves a bit to be desired: First, it's hard to get upstairs to the reception, located on the 4th floor. There are only 2 elevators for 175 rooms, so guests spend a lot of time waiting. Upon arriving at reception, there were six smiling people on duty, but guests are forced to queue up for passport scanners to check in (migration step toward robots no doubt), so that was another long wait. Got to my room, went to sit down at the desk, and saw the chair was stained and dirty. Some of the controls were bilingual, some not, so I was unable to turn on heat or use the humidifier. Oddly, there are no microwaves on the guest floors, so guests are forced to request at reception. No i-pad in room as per booking amenities. Nowhere to smoke in the hotel or outside. In the shopping arcade it's obviously prohibited. In the alley beside the hotel the neighbours have signs out saying they'll call the police if they see anyone smoking. All in all, for the prices they're asking, Forza is inferior to many of the tourist class hotels in the area, yet charges higher prices.

    • great location, parking problem

The hotel location is great - inside the shopping street. But this location can make things complicate - first to find the hotel - might be that they not allowed to put signs outside on the road but if you come driving - very hard to locate it. Also parking pose an issue - there are 2 parking places that the hotel work with - we parked in other parking - 12$ / 12 hours - still ok. Check-in = with all the machine complication they could have made it already just with the human touch would have been better - anyway = smooth. Room is ok size in Japan. Have all the amenities. WIFI = good Breakfast - very rich but also very busy Great value for money

    • Excellent location

      Reviewed 27 November 2019

The entrance to this hotel is at the beginning of a covered street off the main street and right by a tram stop. So you can get to it very easily from the railway station. The tram system is great for getting around and seeing all the main tourist sites. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast adequate.
