Awesome day
ReviewedDecided to take a trip here today and so glad we did. The weather was perfect for a wonderful outdoor activity. We got to feed the giraffes and my granddaughter loved it. We had an amazing tour guide on the Safari tour. We have been here before and will definitely return again.
Penny SA wonderful experience
ReviewedGrandma and I took the grandkids there after living in the area since 1972 and never visiting. What a pleasant surprise. The kids were captivated though it was over 90 degrees. A bit pricey, but extremely worthwhile and educational.
Ed BThis place is great, best zoo ever
ReviewedWe visited on a hot day in August and I thought for sure all the animals would be asleep or out of site somewhere like in most zoos or "wildlife parks." I was pleasantly surprised that most if not all were out and about. The grounds look very well maintained as well as the animals and their habitats as well. There was plenty of shade to stand in and our Safari tour guide Steve was geat.
JoeAng28Delightful and more do-able than the big city zoos
ReviewedOnly good things to say about this wildlife park! Our family has visited many times over the years, and it just keeps getting better. The new giraffe experience where you walk up a ramp until you can just reach out your hand to feed and pet them is the best. Love the safari and being able to pet and feed a wide variety of animals. Deb, our guide, shared lots of info, which really enhanced the safari. Definitely buy the cup of food for the safari and the special food for the giraffes-where else can you have these experiences? All the staff members are very knowledgeable about the animals. The exhibits are all very clean and well maintained. Picnic tables and playgrounds in several locations. For the most enjoyable experience, arrive early, bring sunscreen, water bottles, and a cooler with your lunch. Amazing to have a zoo of this quality and variety of animals in central PA!
luvit258Well maintained animal park
ReviewedWe arrived alittle before opening, e were directed to the parking by a courteous young man. We made our way to the safari tour. It was a very cool experience as the animals come right up to the open air vehicle. You feed them carrots or pellets that are purchased prior to getting on. Scott was great, gave a lot of info on animals and was very entertaining. We walked the park afterwards . ( They are very accommodating for those that are handicapped, lifts for safari, golf carts to get around.) Only thing I found was that the reptile exhibit should open earlier, as well as the other educational exhibits.
