    • An example for other hotels

Other hotels should visit this one to find out what quality, design, staff efficiency & friendliness and comfort is all about. They are located about 100 meters from a long pedestrian shopping street, reasonably close to the harbor and access roads. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and nicely outfitted. Not many hotels offer air conditioning, but they do. Breakfast is very good, one of the best ones weve had on our 6 months journey.

    • good hotel, comfortable beds

The room was small but well organized, with comfortable beds, enough place for our things and all amenities. There was air conditioning but we preferred to open a window (it was a hot day), even if there was traffic noise from the street below. You couldn't hear it with the window closed. Our room had a very small bathroom and an even smaller wash basin - very difficult to use! The lounge and terrace were very nice, and there's free coffee and tea in the lobby. Breakfast was good and very varied, they had vegetable milk which is always a plus with me! There is free parking. The town was cute, but beware: everything closes at 17.30 (earlier on Saturday, all closed on Sunday) and there wasn't a soul around after that time. There are a couple of bars and a couple of restaurants, including one in the hotel. There is a roadside beach 10 minutes walking from the hotel, but it didn't look great and the harbor has a lot of industrial sites.

Sadly we met here on reception the only rude Dane we encountered in this charming country but that should not detract for the overall experience as other staff were very helpful. (if you're on the phone when guests arrive just a smile and whispered "with you in a minute" would be better than staring through us for 5 minutes and offering no apology) A large modern hotel with clean well equipped rooms. Easy to access. Parking available over the road in a public car park. If you have time walk along to the beach and harbour. Breakfast was excellent

    • Beat & friendliest service ever!!

      Reviewed 29 June 2019

We are here with friends for a few days and we are simply amazed at how attentive, friendly and over-the-top the service is at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were met with smiles. It seems they cant do enough for us here. The atmosphere in the Scottish pub is relaxing and fun and, although we havent sampled the food yet, it looked delicious! We asked for extra towels for our room and they came within 30 seconds. Breakfast was yummy with eggs, fresh bread, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, crepes, etc... The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are small but no smaller than average rooms at most European hotels. We would definitely come back here if we are ever in the area in the future. We recommend!!!! Thank you to the staff at Hotel Europa in Aabenraa!!!

    • Good hotel whilst traveling

On our way to Ebeltoft, Denmark, my husband and I stayed for one night in Hotel Europa in Aabenraa. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was charming en large enough (room 305 in the corner). Be aware though that the regular double rooms are a lot smaller and especially the beds (queen bed, while in the deluxe two twins made up together. Shower wonderful, which I had one as strong at home. Parking free, staff most forthcoming. Breakfast truly exceptional! Many choices of beautiful products, showing once again that when each individual product you serve is of good quality, the whole thing is extremely alluring. If I was living in Aabenraa, I would quite happily visit to have breakfast there once in a while (and pay for it of course), what a treat! Point of criticism: the duvets. They are thin and feel flimsy, it just doesnt feel luxurious in any way. Also, the night seemed relatively cold because of it.
