    • Lovely Location but staff are the true GEMS

      Reviewed 07 September 2019

All of the reviews about location are spot on. Everything was so easy to walk to, even with a 4year old! Paola and Jessica are truly GEMS! Our young son was completely taken with Paola and would immediately chatter away as soon as he would see her! It is so obvious how hard both women work and how interested they are in the guests especially if you take the time to sit and have a chat which we really enjoyed doing. There are quite a lot of choices in the breakfast room and the made to order crepes and eggs were quickly made and delivered every morning. I know this is a lake destination but the pool really does set the Dolomiti apart as it was so nice to enjoy a swim with the little one without always having to go down to the lake.

    • Amazing!

The hotel was just a delight! Me and my boyfriend stayed at the end of August 2019 for 2 nights and they organised transfers and were just extremely chatty and friendly! We were very pleased! Our room was lovely, very modern, bright and exceptionally clean. It was in the perfect location and we will definetly return!

    • Lovely hotel, brilliant location

We stayed here in August for 5 nights and it was a truly enjoyable visit. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location for exploring the town of Malcesine. The town is set on a hill so be prepared for a bit of walking (on cobbles too) and Hotel Dolomiti is set toward the top of the hill. Saying that its not a difficult walk and by no means out of it all. If you were in the middle of town it would be too noisy at night. Malcesine is a vibrant, bustling town with lots of shops and cafes. The hotel is in walking distance to lovely restaurants, has beautiful views of the castle and lake and an easy stroll down the lake shore/pebbled beach. (During your stay I would highly recommend getting the funicular up to the top of the mountain, the views are stunning. To save yourself a 2 hour queue buy your tickets from shops in town.) The staff were so helpful, friendly and very accommodating. We arrived a little later than anticipated and had a little trouble parking but the lady from reception was more than happy to help us out. The parking at the hotel is absolutely fine but quite tight so you may need a few 3 point turns to get into the space. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. We had a huge king size bed and all the general appliances, kettle, fridge, safe etc. The quiet air conditioning was a huge bonus, it really is an absolute must in the summer months in Italy. We moved on to Lake como after our stay here and our apartment didnt have air con... sleeping was so uncomfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel a couple of times during our stay and it was delicious. Plenty of choice and freshly cooked items to order. The pool area was lovely, decked out nicely and the pool just big enough. We found ourselves here late in the afternoons and usually had the pool to ourselves. My 1 tiny little suggestion for improvement would be maybe to have more plug sockets in the room as we only had 1. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel!

    • Wonderful clean modern hotel in absolutely stunning location.

Cant rate this highly enough. Staff are wonderful. Paula is wonderful and always so happy. Hotel rooms spotless and new and spacious. Breakfast lovely with great variety of continental style breakfast. Malcesine is stunning as a holiday destination with lots to do. Be aware that the weather is changeable here and does get thunderstorms regularly, even in August so bring an umbrella! Its not cold and if it does rain its over pretty quick. Can be very busy so we made sure we always booked a table each night as we were a party of 6 adults 5 children. Lovely place to stay. You dont need a car. Much easier to have the shuttle car which the hotel can provide for 50 per person return to Verona airport. We made mistake of hiring a car and never used it our friends used the shuttle which was much better idea.
