This was a great find! Located within easy walk of Fenway, the river and BU. Recently renovated rooms are spacious and well-appointed. A very boutique feel. The hotel was value priced too. Ill be back!

    • THE only place to stay in Boston!

This is our fourth time staying at this fabulous hotel over the past few years. We love it and wouldnt dream of staying anywhere else when travelling from Scotland to see our beloved Red Sox and Bruins. Our suite was fabulous and as it was a side/corner suite it was the most quiet of all the suites weve stayed in this hotel. We would definitely request this room again. Only downside of the room was that it wasnt a walk in shower like the other suites weve been in, but a shower above the tub with the dreaded shower curtain, though I will take this just for the quietness! Although we didnt get the usual welcome back when we checked in, the staff were their usual professional and friendly selves. We love speaking to the doorman who are all really friendly and always talk to us about the Red Sox and the Bruins. Big shout out to Nick with the brilliant 100% pure Boston accent. Remembered us and made us laugh so much. We had a slight issue with their new green initiative in that we didnt realise that in agreeing to take part, our bed wouldnt actually get made or room serviced on our second day. I was actually just expecting to have the same bed sheets until I put the notice card on the bed. Anyway, we buzzed down and everything was resolved and our room serviced every other day. If youre going to a BoSox game this is the ONLY place to stay. Usually we have a great view of the Green Monster, but this year, we had something like 6 windows in our suite with the main bedroom area being on the side street, though the lobby of the suite had a front view of Commonwealth Ave and the famous Citgo sign. We will be back guys and hopefully next year, the Red Sox will be Champs again!

While check in could have been faster, my overall experience was very positive. The hotel is easy to get to and in a great location. Food is available 24 hours and they have nice restaurants in the facility as well

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of our New England driving tour. On arrival I was a bit disappointed, it seemed the hotel was in need of an upgrade in the public areas but the welcome from the staff was warm and friendly. Our room on the 4th floor was on the side of the building and we couldnt hear any road noise whatsoever even though Commonwealth Avenue is a very busy road. The room was clean and a good size. The hotel does have the dreaded resort fee which to my mind is just a way of making you pay extra for things you dont want or need. However at least here it does include a morning coffee and pastry or fruit which was good. The train station is literally a few steps away from the entrance and was very convenient.

    • Great service!

Everyone we had contact with were very pleasant, professional and willing to make our stay the best it could be! The short walk to Fenway makes the Hotel Commonwealth a great place to stay when attending a Red Sox game!!
