We have just spent 10 nights in this hotel where nothing is to much trouble superb service from all staff & always done with a smile. Our twin room was large quiet & spotlessly clean with a good view of the lake air con is at an extra cost. Breakfast offered a good choice with superb terrace views of the lake The 4 course evening meal had good variety & exceptional quality. Overall the hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere with no rushing to put a towel on a poolside sunbed Its location is excellent being only a short walk to all that beautiful Malchesine has to offer. We can't see how anyone could not enjoy their stay at this hotel & resort.

Lovely hotel. Our room (we stayed in one of the apartments) had a fantastic view - Id recommend the 2nd or 3rd floor if you stay in them. Breakfast was delicious and served with a beautiful view over the lake. They were very accommodating to our requests. We enjoyed our stay there so much that a friend changed her plans to come and stay a night there as well!

We have just spent 7 nights in this hotel, our 2nd time here, the last one being 17 years ago. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are very helpful. Our room was on the side of the hotel, so we had a view of the lake. If you are booking with Tui the air conditioning is not included and you have to request reception turns it on for you, this is at a charge of 5 a day. The rooms have a small refrigerator, a hair dryer and a TV. The room does not have a clothes iron or ironing board in it. When we asked at reception they said they don't allow irons in the room for safety reasons, but I'm sure if you had a travel iron with you they wouldn't know unless you leave it out. They allowed us to use the one in their laundry room but after 4pm when their staff had finished in there which was fine. Breakfast is nice and includes bacon, eggs and small sausages along with cereals, cheeses and bread. Tea and coffee machines are available in the dining room too. We were half board so had evening meal. Meals have to be ordered off a small menu the night before, it's usually a choice of a meat dish, a fish dish or a vegetarian one. Food was presented beautifully, but unfortunately for us my 16 year old hardly ate anything as it was a bit too fussy for him. There are no drinks included with evening meal, not even water, all drinks had to be paid for separately. However, if you buy the water, which is 2.50 for a medium sized bottle, they will put what you don't drink in their fridge and get it out for you at the next meal. The bottles of wine at the restaurant are around 15 each, spirits with a mixer are about 6. The pool area is nicely maintained and there are plenty of loungers, and not really any need for rushing to secure one of them. The hotel will provide a towel if needed, but you need to keep it for a minimum of 3 days or a charge is made. There is an extra terrace on the roof with loungers, but we didn't know it was there until the day we were leaving. The restaurants and bars are just a 10 minute walk away, there is a Euro Spar which is great for getting drinks for in your room. Local restaurants charge 7 for a margerita pizza, and pasta dishes are around 10. Tui offer trips to Venice and Verona, we went with them to Venice but made our own way to Verona for 30 on the bus, saving ourselves 100. The bus changes at Garda town and the staff are really helpful in making sure you know what but to get. It's worth knowing that in Venice you are better to eat in the restaurants in the side streets as opposed to in St Marks Square as the price difference is massive. To get into the church itself you need to have shoulders and knees covered. Sitting down in the square is not allowed, so basically you need to buy a drink at a bar to be able to have a little rest and use the bathrooms, the public toilets are 1.50. Overall we had a lovely holiday and would definitely return to the Hotel Capri.

Visited hotel capri with my partners dad and step mum and family for their 10th wedding anniversary. The staff were amazing always there to replenish drinks!! Drinks average from 3.50 for a Hugo (which my partner loved) to 4.50 for a pint of larger for me, Cocktails where about 7. As drinks over the week can become very expensive there is a spar supermarket within a 5-10 minutes walk. The evening meals consists of 4 courses which where amazing, lots of choices such as pasta/rice dishes and meats/local fish. They even cater for vegetarians. The bedrooms are lovely but basic, kettle and aircon can be purchased at an extra cost and no iron. The hotel is quiet and also offers amazing views of the lake. I would recommend a walk along the lake in the evening which can be accessed across the road and down a few steps. No need to rush down to the pool as there are always beds available. Overall a lovely relaxing week that we all thoughly enjoyed, you won't regret your decision to stay here :)

This was our first stay at the Hotel Capri. It is a lovely family owned hotel (see the hotel's own website for the family photos!) with helpful and friendly staff. We loved the location with views from the terrace over Lake Garda towards Limone. We were lucky enough to have two weeks here. The food was fabulous-the best food we've ever had in any 3 star hotel (see pictures). The breakfasts had a good selection of fruits, cheeses, breads, juices, eggs, etc and were in medium sized dishes which were constantly replaced/refilled (much better than big hotels where the buffet sits for an age coagulating or empty!). It was my birthday whilst there and although we had not mentioned it, the hotel gave us a glass of 'fizz' to celebrate which was a really nice touch. The delicious evening meal was based on the typical Italian 4 courses pre-ordered. The presentation was beautiful and the waiting staff worked flat out and all spoke good English and were helpful. When it's warm, you can have breakfast outside on the terrace and it's also a lovely spot to have a pre or post-dinner drink watching the sunset. There are even blankets outside for cooler days. We felt drinks prices were fair for a hotel -Aperol spritz was a big hit at 3.50 euros! We liked the hotel's location -just 5 minutes walk through the grounds down to the lakeside and 10-15minutes into Malcesine 'centre' along the lakeside. The rooms were modern and kept clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean if a little dated in their decor. We enjoyed having a balcony to sit and take in the view. If you have a mountain view, you can use the roof terrace (which is a real sun trap) or the terrace by the restaurant to enjoy the view or cool down in the pool. Like many Italian hotels you have to pay extra for air conditioning- we fortunately didn't need this as it was warm rather than hot! The only slightly strange thing is when you arrive, it can be a little disconcerting as the hotel is built into the hillside so you may enter by the lift on the top floor and go down to Reception. The Reception staff were helpful with advice about events in Malcesine including some of the music concerts and selling us cable car tickets up Monte Baldo too. We could not fault the Hotel Capri. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
