    • Out-date hotel

      Reviewed 09 July 2019

The location of the hotel is good enough, only 10 mins to the Inuyama castle. The room is big but the style is old style and facilities are out-dated. There is a public hot spring which is good enough for relaxing.

    • Blast from the past

      Reviewed 30 April 2019

Really old hotel and our room smelt like it, complete with old school furniture (solid wood desks with drawers that simply slide in and out of its slot, sans rails) that I haven't seen in decades. But few better options in the area (trust me, I've searched) and Nagoya's a bit far to base oneself if you are here for the castle and the Meiji-mura. From our observation the hotel's clientele consists mainly of Japanese here for events, such as weddings -- the massive carpark was absolutely chocka for the two nights we were there, with cars bearing plates from all over the country. It's a captive audience, I suppose, which is perhaps why the management doesn't see the need for refurbishment. Having said all that, service was excellent and we were well taken care of. A nice touch: our package included dinner, and when we showed up at the French restaurant we were shown to the corner table, right next to the picture windows with a direct view of the castle. "Best seat in the house," the waiter told us. And indeed it was!

    • Great location to see the castle

      Reviewed 24 February 2019

We stayed one night in Inuyama on our way from Matsumoto to Kyoto to see the castle. The Meitetsu Inuyama Hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming, especially since they clearly mainly serve Japanese guests (they knew exactly who we were before we even introduced ourselves so we guessed we must have been the only non-Japanese guests checking in that day!). Breakfast was a good mix of Japanese and Western options and the curry we had for lunch was delicious. A short walk to both the castle and the station.

    • Great place to stay for Inuyama castle and Meiji Mura

      Reviewed 28 June 2018

We stayed in Inuyama in order to visit Meiji Mura and we were pleased that we did. We caught the train in Inuyamayuen Station and it was only a short walk along the river to the Meitetsu Inuyama Hotel. We had a large comfortable room with a river view and we were escorted to the room and shown all of the facilities by one of the staff. The onsen was amazing, there is a shop and a cafe and a very comfortable lounge in the foyer area. The cafe was reasonably priced for lunches but we found the restaurants a little expensive for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is just a short walk from the castle and the many cafes and shops around the castle. It's also in an ideal position for watching the cormorant fishing at night. The staff were friendly and attentive and were happy to mind our bags before we checked in and after we checked out so that we could maximize our time on both days we were there. they were helpful with information about transport to Meiji Mura and were also happy to call us a taxi when we were leaving to go to Unuma Station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    • Perfect location for Inuyama

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and the staff were all delightful and very welcoming. The breakfast is good and we had an excellent meal in Le Paradis restaurant in the hotel , overlooking the Kiso river. The onsen in the hotel is very good and it is a short walk to the castle and the old town, which has interesting little shops, food outlets and museums- don't mis the karakuri puppets. The hotel is opposite the beautiful Uraku-en gardens and at night you can watch the cormorant fishing on the river. A great place for a short stay.
