    • Pleasant Stay

My partner and I have just returned from 1 week all inclusive stay at Fenix Family. The hotel is OK but with a few basic changes this could be a really nice hotel. Can't fault the room which was nice and clean. I agree with some of the previous comments yes the food was sometimes cold you had to get into the dinner room at the start to get the food at its best but saying that we didn't mind the food and always found something to eat. The entertainment seemed to be at stupid times and was a bit hit and miss with one of the entertainers 'Will' playing songs that he wanted to listen to which ranged from Marilyn Manson to musical songs which wasn't pleasant when trying to relax by the pool. He was a bit of a show off and kept lifting his top up to everybody and grinding up and down, he was also loud constantly which we found irritating. On the Friday there was alot of Spanish elderly and disabled people that came for the weekend which we found out they get given a free weekend every year, we didn't mind but it did seem like the Spanish had priority over all of the other guests. With all that being said a holiday is what you make it and we enjoyed ourselves and met some wonderful people. The area itself has plenty to do with a wide range of souvenir shops, bars and restaurants and the beach goes on for miles. Be careful with the air con as we have both come home with nasty viruses along with other guests that suffered too.

This is a review and not a rant or complaint. Food is terrible. Ice cold scrambled eggs and mushrooms. Greasy and same food over and over again.had to eat out instead at large extra cost to us. Not really set up for British guests as mostly very noisy Spanish guests. Be aware entrance is up a flight of steps or a steep ramp which was very bad as we told when booking my wife has mobility problems. Toilets in reception were filthy compared to other hotels we stayed in. Hotel in general was 30 yrs outdated. Room was scruffy and fixtures were broke or loose. Bed was broke and the balcony rail secured with cable ties. Shower was a joke . Totally unusable and flooded bathroom out whenever used. Staff were happy and hardworking but this nowhere near compensated for the outdated services. Would not recommend going to this hotel as there are many better in resort. Don't get a pool view room if you want a peaceful time as the pa system is loud and intrusive.

Where to start. This hotel what a S--thole. Rated 4 star.Due to be dropped to 3 star (I believe) as of May 2020. In my opinion does not even warrant a 2 star. Unless you are Spanish no other nationality matters. Staff and locals are very rude including the manager and make it quite clear your not welcome. Food in restaurant cold often rotated from lunch to evening meals and if not used rotated again next day. Main entrance glass doors had a huge crack on one of the panels. The toilets at main reception stunk very strongly of urine all the time . Mould around shower/bath area. So much lime scale build-up around taps.Towel rail fell off in my hand. Cracked sink vanity unit.(see photos). We complained to our TUI holiday rep (Lucy) who was great. TUI you should really take this one from your books. British -stay away if you want a good holiday. Never going back would not recommend.

    • Terrible stay.

Came for a week all inclusive stay with my husband 3 children and a 7 month old. No microwave and no kettle even though requested. Microwave was for bottle sterilisation but turns out theres only 1 and it was in the restaurant. Ended up using Milton tablets in the bathroom sink, kettle eventually provided but didnt work, next kettle turned water yellow?? Ended up having to give baby just bottled water without sterilising. The staff speak hardly any English, especially bar staff. Limited to two drink and two snacks at the bars at a time, which when you have lots of children who dont want to order their own food or drink that can be a problem, never known an all inclusive like that!! One bar staff actually didnt serve me and spoke about me in Spanish to another guest, because I was waiting at the bar to be served after someone else rather than standing behind him like a queue... it was our first day there, wasnt aware thats how it worked, you dont wait in a queue at a bar in England! Hotel seemed very hostile towards English people in general and every English guest (few and far between) that I spoke to in the week we were here had the exact same opinion. Food was fine although very samey. Big queues to get into restaurant. Any entertainment started at 10:30 every night (very late I thought) and was all in Spanish. Not really enjoyable if you dont understand the language much. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel and will not be staying again.
