We spent 4 nights at this hotel as part of an organised coach trip. The outside appearance was very impressive and continued when we were ushered into lounge for nibbles and wine. From then on things went downhill we wers handed keys to our allocated bedrooms, we had use of a very small slow lift but it did its job if we waited. On entering our room we were appalled it was at rear of building, very small and dark and a tiny window overlooking a backyard and noise of kitchen . The building behind prevented any sunlight entering the room which contained a very old looking bedstead. We went down to see the manager to say we weren't prepared to accept this room as many of our fellow travellers had balcony rooms overlooking the lake or at least windows that you could open for fresh air. Our host eventually moved us to a room on 3rd floor which although not a lot better it had a view of the hills over rooftops and at least we could open our windows. It was all very tired looking and we had to request the toilet seat be fixed as it was hanging off. We were only allowed to have a towel each for whole 4 days and if we wanted one for the swimming pool we were told to go and buy one from local shops. The breakfast and evening meals were ok and staff good.

Generally everything was ok. Very friendly staff and very clean room. Air conditioner was working fine so another positive. We didn't spend to much time in the hotel as a plan was to stay there for nights only and this place is perfect for plan like this. Off course rooms are slightly tired but no damaged stuff and really very clean. Breakfasts were a little poor, other than this all was perfect. Highly recommended for everyone expecting nice place in good price.

Nice with the pool and small area around it. The rooms felt quite old and the bathroom even older and partly worn out. Not the best stay. Hard beds and pillows. Glad we only stayed one night. The breakfast was OK. Nice staff. A bit of a walk to the centre which was very touriusty.

    • Warm welcome, but the rooms arent the best

Stayed here a few weeks ago while on a coach trip. The location is good - if you cross the road and carry on straight past the chapel and follow the road round to the left, carry on and youll get to the lake. Yoy can take a dip in the lake, or just sit on one of the benches and admire the view. Theres also a restaurant there, right on the lake, which seems like a great place for a drink or a bite to eat on a warm summers day/evening as you have such a stunning view. Its only a short walk from the hotel - only about five or ten minutes. We received a warm welcome at the hotel - nibbles and wine, which was lovely, and the manager was very friendly (he looks like Meic Pierce from Pobol y Cwm!), its just the rooms that let this place down. I think its the bad lighting. It just seemed to pull me down. It wasnt very nicely decorated. It wasnt cheerful. It just seemed like a prison cell, especially with those beds! It could do with a good makeover. The window in my room was rather small, and there was no view when you opened the window. No light was coming in, which didnt help. There was however free wifi, which worked well, a flat screen tv, and a fridge, which was handy to store my water bottles during the hot weather. The location was quiet too. Its set back off the road, so you shouldnt be disturbed by traffic noise. The hotel is ok, but if I ever go back to the area, Id rather stay somewhere else if Im honest.
