    • Fourth stay here

      Reviewed 12 August 2019

Our family has now made stopping in Saskatoon for a few days in the summer a part of our summer vacation plan. We've always booked the Back in Time theme room, which has usually worked out for our family given it's layout. For this year's stay, we are grading the hotel 4/5. The reasons for our grade: the bedding in the bedroom with the bunk bed look old and faded. They do have John Deere themed sheets, and they look to have been used heavily. The kids complained the mattresses weren't that comfortable. The pool area could use a little more care. The hotel had attempted to make certain areas of the pool safer to walk on with a sponge like flooring, but a few chunks had been ripped out of the floor, exposing tile. Several of the deck chairs also looked past their useful lives. And the humidity in the pool was especially high, made slightly bearable by propping open the outdoor doors and sitting next to them. We also couldn't get the TV working properly in the parlour area of our suite. Not that we were really wanting to watch any TV, but we couldn't get any of the channels to work, and weren't that fussed to call down to ask to get it fixed. We'll come here again, but only out of habit as opposed to enthusiasm.

This location was chosen for its location & nearby amenities. Previous stay satisfaction was higher. The hotel is run by friendly and professional staff across the board but the building is showing its mileage. Travelling alone for business this occasion, I was content, but the stained room carpet, loose plumbing fittings, poorly matched paint for quick wall fixes and a room door that did not fully close by itself were below expectation.

    • Kids Favorite!

The kids love the theme room so they can have their own room with a bunk bed and a playstation. There is always something for everyone at breakfast and the kids love the pool but the last time we stayed the pool was so crowded that the kids didn't want to go in. The rooms are nice but could use some extra cleaning and minor maintenance such as replacing a missing leg on the ottoman and covering the fuse box in the main area of the suite. All in all it is a good value for the price.

This hotel has very large King bed rooms with a Large flat screen TV.The bed & pillows are very comfortable. The window could be opened and yet are very secure. We were on the 4 th floor and this was one of the quietest hotels we have ever stayed at.The hot breakfast was very good and the staff at the front desk was very accommodating. When we go back to Saskatoon we will definitely book this hotel again.

    • Nice visit, not perfect

      Reviewed 12 February 2019

Good hotel in a nice location with lots of stores, restaurants, etc... around it. Stayed on business for a few nights. Comfortable bed, especially like the soft sheets, but the pillows but as flat as anything. Room had everything I needed. Good bathroom. Hall noise pronounced at night, thankfully it settled down overnight. Noise of kids above me was also loud, again thankful they settled down overnight. Breakfast was fine, seemed the options were a little sparse though. Good car plug-ins during a bitterly cold stretch. Front desk person asked me how I was paying for the room, which caught me off guard as it was a direct bill to the company. I told him that, he said fine. English was obviously not his first language. Price was fine I thought though and I'd definitely consider coming back. Slight issues wouldn't stop me from returning. Good stay.
