Amazing location in town- in the heart of town. Short walk from station, all the tourist hotspots and University of Leiden (The Hague) is within easy walking distance. Hotel is on the main Plein with many bars and places to eat. Plein area has a nice lively vibe with pubs. Also interesting shops in vicinity. Book fanatics will love Paagman just off the main Plein. Very comfortable room with view of courtyard and trees. Room had enough space for two large suitcases, Hanging space (not cupboard) was sufficient for 5 night stay. All amenities provided in rooms and we had no trouble with sleeping (black out curtains) and no noise from the outside- we were on the second floor. Can request hard or soft pillows. Spotless room and bathroom. Body wash/shampoo provided in dispensers. Breakfast had sufficient options- cold meats, boiled eggs, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, muesli, tomato, cucumber, and breads and pastries. Loved the ice machine in the main lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Luggage was stored and individually tagged- making it more secure. Can only access the lift with room card-we always felts safe. A safe in the room would be nice. Wifi worked like a dream.

I had a wonderful experience here and I will write it in bullets for easy to read. - I found a cheaper hotel, but it was not worth it. The other hotel would not refund my deposit under no circumstances. - For us Westerners, we are used to stores/businesses to open early, but not so much here. So, do not take for granted the Holiday Inn breakfast. They have a good variety of cheeses, ham, boiled eggs, bread, they have yogurt, fruit, granola, milk, coffee, tea, and juices. - LOCATION is exceptional. The hotel's entrance is a one-minute walk from the Mauritshuis Museum. Two minutes away from a well-stocked souvenir store (Holland Souvenirs), and a lot of different kinds of restaurants nearby. - It is impossible to complain about the staff here, they all are very friendly and professional, and you can tell they work hard too. - The entire hotel is always very clean and it is also new, the rooms are very comfortable and unlike a hotel in Amsterdam, they actually clean your room daily. - I was lucky to get a third-floor room in the back of the building and it was very quiet. Others got rooms underground or on the first floor and they could hear noises from the street. My section of the building had a beautiful view of the back of a church and some treetops. I also could catch a glimpse at some modern buildings on the right side of my window. - I arrived 5 hours before check-in time, but the staff was kind enough to give an available room. They will do it if they can. - WiFi works like a charm! - Check-in and Check-out were fast and easy. - You can buy refreshments at the hotel, but you would save money if you buy them at a store near the hotel, including water.

Nice room, cosy atmosphere, loved the furniture both in the hall and room. Very clean. Typical Dutch breakfast is served... well, typical meaning very basic! Just boiled eggs, cheese and ham, pain au chocolat, tomato, cucumber and few fruits, nothing special. Lovely staff.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and have stayed at other IHG hotels in other countries. I was visiting family in The Hague so I am nice and central. Its a lovely clean hotel with a good food range at breakfast. The staff are polite and professional and their customer service skills put ours in the U.K. in my opinion to shame. Unfortunately on my first night of checking in things went badly wrong. I am a woman travelling alone so security is very important, but on my first night I had a man open the door to my hotel room as he had been given the same hotel room number. After that mix up I thought that would be the end of the problem and after locking my door and putting the safety latch on and within 35 mins of my doing so, a second couple this time tried to gain entrance to my room! Once is bad enough but twice is unacceptable. I am putting this event on trip advisor to make other people aware that this can be quite frightening and the management are aware of the problem. My money was returned and management contacted me personally to offer sincere apologies. They accept that there is a problem on accessing peoples hotel rooms even once a room had been allocated to a guest, so please be aware. The staff attended to this matter promptly and with kindness and care, so I still want to recommend the holiday inn express in The Hague as a good hotel to stay in.
