      First of all let me commend you for doing away with the individual plastic bottles of shampoo, etc and installing the dispensers in the shower AND for not wrapping your apples in plastic! I wish all of your properties would adopt the practices. All in all our stay was very nice.

      My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here for the night of August 23rd. I booked a rewards night for a Friday, as we were down to visit our Son who is in the Navy and stationed in Norfolk. Upon check in we were early, but no problem. The gentleman at the desk, I believe his name was Charles was extremely helpful, polite and courteous. Not only did they have a room ready, he upgraded us to a king suite without having to ask being we were ihg platinum members. The room was magnificent, recently refurbished/renovated the bed was new an so comfortable. The number of phone and gadget charging ports both USB and electrical was phenomenal. There were 4 on each side of the bed not including the lamp. There were several more at the desk as well. The shower was great, pressure phenomenal. Loved the in shower dispensers. Every staff member we came in contact with was helpful, courteous and polite. Breakfast was good, it would be the only point of contention as the selection was a little less than most Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed at. No bacon or biscuits and gravy. But for free can't complain just an observation and certainly no big deal. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends.

      My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and breakfast bar was well stocked. One of our biggest turn-off was the constant musty smell throughout the hotel, but especially in the room. We had to run our air conditioner constantly to eliminate it (thus, freezing ourselves out). Once the air turned off, the smell returned. I appreciate the use of a large bottle of shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the shower - certainly more environmentally responsible. Unfortunately, our conditioner remained empty during our stay, though we requested for it to be filled. We ended up leaving after the second night and moving to another hotel, where there was no musty smell - a bit cheaper too. Would I return? Yes, if the price was fair, but not during the summer months.

      Stayed in a king room at this property during a fun trip to attend a concert in Virginia Beach. We enjoyed the look of the hotel at first glance, but when you looked closer you can see that the place is already is needing repairs. Paint peeling in the bathroom, loose tub/shower handle and worn places on the furniture. Does the manager even inspect rooms anymore? A great touch is the warm cookies the evening, but why would there not be a table to place the box on instead of one of the two lobby desks? I had to call the front desk to ask when the pool closes at night and found it to be 10 pm, but loud folks having fun at Midnight was a little much! Is it the guest's responsibility to complain then someone will do something? I think not! Its the small things that can make or break a business, and this place misses the mark. I hope they fix these things before I would consider staying here again

      1. My guaranteed confirmed reserved room was intentionally sold to someone else at a higher price because of greed. No management response, no remorse. 2. A sink in room not in the bathroom. 3. Empty shower gel bottles waiting for guests fill. 4. Loud noise and dirty floor in the elevator.
