After a 24 hour trip to get there, we were met by absolute luxury. The staff were so professional, helpful and accommodating. The setting was picturesque. The accommodation was so luxurious. The food was out of the world. Im a vegetarian but I was catered for with delicious food. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the local game options. Everything has been thought of, it was just so easy for arriving to leaving. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We decided to do the Garden Route in reverse so we started in PE. After travelling for just short of 24 hours we arrived at Hitgeheim and straight away felt relaxed and rested. The views are stunning and the service from all the staff is wonderful. A big thank you to Archie, Godfrey, Randal and Stephen. We had only booked two nights but what a lot can be achieved in a short space of time with the help of those mentioned we added a trip to Daniell Cheetah Project and an additional Safari with Schotia Safaris, we had originally only planned the Addo Elephant National Park. The PE vintage car club were having a function at the time of our visit so we had the pleasure of viewing some beautiful cars and meeting some wonderful people as we were made to feel part of the club. Everything about Hitgeheim, food, wine, staff was perfect especially Archie's passion for the amazing animals and countryside. A great way to start our perfect holiday and hopefully we get the opportunity to visit again.

Amazing lodge facilities and really good value for money. They're happy to arrange for Game Drives along Addo National Park (we used this as an overnight stay). Service was really good and all meals that we had at the lodge were 5-star quality. Be careful, we did notice that we had to drive through some townships and sketchy areas from Port Elizabeth so I would NOT drive at night to get there but once you arrived through the gates, it was nothing but zen.
