Had a great time in Hip Hotel. The resort is lovely and the staff is so friendly. We had dinner every night at the restaurant - food was delicious and we even got invite for a Tequila and Tacos tasting night! On the beach we were served by Faustino who is just a lovely person and was always checking if we needed something.

I really enjoyed my time here! All of the staff were great! Faustino and Lily in the restaurant gave good service and conversation, also Sergio and the other concierge whose name I did not get both provided excellent recommendations and hospitality. Five stars for them and all the staff! They are right next door to La Eufemia which seems to be a pretty popular place for locals which was cool to check out. Of course the beach front was amazing, there's nothing more you could ask for. One thing to note is that I booked one of the "Ocean Front" rooms based on the view shown in the pictures on the website. Only three of the "Ocean Front" rooms actually have that view. There's one building with three rooms that's raised higher up which has the stairs shown in the pictures, and there's another building that's next to that building but is not raised up and has no stairs. The view from that building, where I stayed, is almost completely obscured by a mound of sand. It was pretty disappointing and I wish I would have asked to be moved to the other building. That said, I think if you are booking an Ocean Front room just make sure they have one of the three rooms in the raised building and everything would be great! Overall I would definitely recommend!

This review is for the Hip Hotel Beach Club. We spent a day here in September with four adults and two toddlers. We didnt know the hotel, but we always go to Ana y Jose for the beach club which is currently closed for a renovation and we knew Hip Hotel is a Grupo Ana y Jose property. Were big fans of the beach club at Ana y Jose, which has excellent food and service. We were a little unsure what to expect because its low season there werent a ton of people at Hip Hotel, but we were not disappointed. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the beach was fantastic. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter, I think it was Isai or similar, he did a great job and was very attentive. The Hip Hotel is located on the southern stretch of the Tulum beach road near La Zebra, and the beach in that area is really beautiful. Not having stayed at the hotel, it seems like this property is seriously underrated on TripAdvisor. Lots of places that are ranked higher dont have as good quality food, beach or service. Maybe the name is a turn off, I think they should probably rebrand it. The name Hip Hotel conjures something that I would not enjoy, and I very much enjoyed this. I dont know what the hotel experience is like, although, as I say, I think the operator is the most reputable in Tulum and I have never been disappointed with Ana y Jose properties. Highly recommend for beach club or restaurant.

I recently stayed at the Hip Hotel with my wife and 2 daughters. From the moment we arrived we knew we were in the right place. A laid back feel right on the beach is exactly what we wanted and it is exactly what we got. Serge and the staff are amazing and so friendly it makes you feel at home. From arranging things to do, renting a car, booking restaurants and more , the staff not only help but with the relaxed vibe make it a pleasure The rooms are perfect, comfortable and eco friendly. I recommend that if you are visiting this area you need to stay at the Hip Hotel. I promise you will not be disappointed.

    • Fabulous location!

Knowing that at night turtles come on the beach 10m in front of your cabin to nest is a wonderful experience! The hotel is really taking care of the nests and removes the sea weed that appears every day (but not as bad as some travel agencies claim). Without this, the turtles would not be able anymore to come on the beach and extinction would be the result. So, please keep on coming to this wonderful hotel not only for its magnificent location, service, food, but also to support the turtles!
