      Clean and huge rooms, quick cleaning service. Had some issues communicating but the staff is very nice and always try to understand English. I asked for Tylonel and actually Philip was very professional, he walked with me to the pharmacy across the street to help Staff top to bottom is very nice and always ready to help

      Big and clean rooms. Absolutely friendly and helpful service. Good offers at breakfast and dinner buffet. Nice staying in the executive lounge. All the staff in every position absolutely nice and lovely

      My room was spacious, and from the upper level, the sea views were fantastic. The buffet breakfast had a very good variety if yummy foods. Staff is friendly and try to be helpful. Convenient location for early morning and evening walks on the beautiful, peaceful beach.

      As Bonvoy member I normally stay in Marriott Yantai, 500m down the road from Hilton. But with Marriott fully booked, at my last trip I decided to give Hilton a try. Rated #1 in Yantai, prepare to wow me. Check in was smooth, good service. Room 709 had a destinct industrial smell, but seemed to come from the AC so I decided that asking to switch from probably would not help. On to the buffet dinner, this was maybe the least attractive buffet I have tried at an international 5 star hotel, and the service was very average despite a lot of staff present. The room was ok. I am not a fan of the dark colors and yellowish marble, but that comes down to personal preference and Hilton can't be faulted for my taste. But the hotel looks much older than the 3 years the staff at checkout said it was. Looking around, the gym and tennis court both look worn down and the carpet in the room is starting to look worn in the main walking areas. The bed was good, but the vibration from the neighbors alarm clock could be heard through the wall. The breakfast buffet was nothing special but the fresh juice and many coffee machines are a plus. Checkout was the highlight, the lady took a genuine interest in asking about my stay. Maybe I was unlucky with the timing of my visit, since they had a convention at the same time? If I stay again in the future I will write another review. In the meantime I hope Marriott has a free room...

    • Serious trip and fall in bathroom and poor customer service

      I always liked HIlton but only when it comes to serious problems do you know their indifferent customer service. Tripped and falled during the 2nd night in Hilton. Walking out from shower. Cleaned my feet and walked in to my hotel slippers and then falled hardly to the ground. No sign to remind putting a tower in front of stand up shower room. Who would put a tower in front a closed door shower room anyway? It's easier to fall that way with floor so smooth and a smooth tower on top. Went to the hospotial for x-ray, after I came back to Shanghai. Doctors told me the tailbone broke. Contacted hotel. Took a long time to reach the hotel manager. Only two minutes he learned how I felt. I can tell he felt relieved because no direct evidence links my fall with Hilton. So he lost patience and started telling me I should've let them know when I fell. Even though you have hospital diagnosis and your colleague knew you fell. We can't help at all. So I recommend you all. First to swipe the floor super dry before you step on a smooth floor in Hilton bathroom. Secondly, don't expect a customer service when there's serious problems. Some would say why I didn't report the incidient the time I fell. I took whole night just to move from bathroom to bedroom. Hurt took all my feelings. And the second day, once I woke up, I got involved in work because I have an event that's so important to me. Secondly, I didn't want to cause any inconvenice because I might be okay. Not until the hurt got worse with the time. Thirdly, I requested refund of my dental diagnosis which is 300 Yuan in total and an official apology. If the hotel doesn't even bother to discuss about this. I wonder how would you deal with problem that occurs in Hilton Yantai. By talking to the customer and making no serious evidence could hurt the hotel and leave the issue alone. Because either way, there will be people staying and you're not lacking customers.
