    • Top Class Resort!!

      Reviewed 29 August 2019

What a fantastic resort!, with excellent beaches to suit all!! From the moment I arrived at reception the staff were so friendly, so polite and made me feel welcome and wanted. The room lived up to the 5* rating, room service excellent, and the restaurant? Well, I recommend you allow half an hour more (just to decide what to eat with so much choice!!??) With such a variety of foods, beautifully cooked and presented, you will want to sample all the dishes available! Food paradise!! In the day the pool was amazing with poolside bar & meals, what a delight not to see the usual sky blue pool but a delightful natural design which was so relaxing!! The Spa was well presented and relaxing as hoped for, the treatments professional, and reception welcoming. The Bounty beach club was a great alternative to dine and drink the night away!! The music was great, not too loud, and the ambience relaxed! Without doubt I would recommend this place!!

No customer service. Nothing in the spa worked so a waste of time. Pictures looks great but in reality the rooms are much smaller and I wouldn't say they are double beds as there a bit smaller. Reads 24 hours room service but I called 3 times asking for milk but sidnt recieved at all.

    • Nice place but quite bad service!!

      Reviewed 21 August 2019

The location as well as the facilities are very nice. Unfortunately the service of the hotel is very poor! - queue-up when going out of the restaurant in order to pay. This system is known for some bad discos but not for five star hotel restaurants! - personal is very slow and does not listen the clients wishes even when speaking their native language Portuguese! - far not enough deck chairs and sunshades for the amount of clients

5 stars. Nothing to complain. The beach was perfect, you just need to be earlier to reserve chairs on the beach. Breakfast was excellent, we also have the stay with dinner included, the meals were always changing during the all week.

    • A beautiful dream

My fiance' and I visited this newish resort (opened in 2017, I believe) for a few days and could not have been happier. The layout is airy and fresh, the bed was comfy, the pool area was big, inviting, and resplendent in flowers, the weather was perfect, the lobby had beautiful dolphin artwork, the beach was HUGE (and empty!), and...let me drool on and on. Breakfast was buffet-style and you could eat inside or outside (wish there were more tables outdoors, and that those tables were under some kind of shade - they were popular, so it was hard to get the coveted outdoor seating). We enjoyed the two bars at night and loved the live music -- each night, the musicians were loud enough to be heard if your goal was to listen to music, and were soft enough to allow you to enjoy pleasant conversation with your friends. Perfect. The beach area has its own indoor/outdoor bar that has nice ambience music. There are beach umbrellas made with reeds (my 5'11" fiance' was a bit tall for the umbrellas - he had to stoop to enter). Lesson learned: just because you spend all day under the umbrella, don't think you are not getting any sun -- I guess it reflects off the powdery soft white sand. You can walk on a sidewalk made out of bricks to town - the path isn't great for high heels or anything other than sneakers. We went to mass on a Thursday night in town, then enjoyed fabulous seafood at a local restaurant before walking back to the resort for live music. We spent another day just lounging by the pool. We noticed the cabanas (or whatever you call the beds-with-curtains-next-to-pools) all had "reserved" signs on it, but we never saw anybody use them. Things that make you go hmmmmm.... We also had complicated questions for the staff, and they were able to handle all of the issues competently and pleasantly. We enjoyed massages at the spa, as well as the hot tubs, etc. My only complaint was that our shower leaked onto the floor every time we used it. I close my eyes and I am back in Cape Verde at one of the most attractive and serene resorts in the Hilton family.
